Battlefield Podcast Episode 31 Released

The team behind the Battlefield Podcast (http://www.battlefieldpodcast.com/) site have released episode 31 of their series today. This new episode includes chatter about the newly announced Battlefield 2142 patch. Here's what they had to say:

Late again and apologies for that, but Episode 31 is now released for your viewing and listening pleasure. This week some big news develops around Battlefield 2142 as EA announces the next patch, numbered 1.05, to be released by the end of November. This new patch will be delivered using the newly revamped EA Link and we take that through its paces, point out its benefits and scold it for its short-comings. Whether you are having technical problems with Battlefield 2142, such as duplicate CD key errors, or just need some tips & tricks to help you on your way towards your next rank-up, we've got you covered.

Controversy hits IGN in relation to the new Gamespy Comrade and just exactly what Xfire thinks of it (and what we think of Xfire), we go on the hunt for the missing Battlefield Podcast Field Reporter Poco Loco, and inform you of yet another way to get Battlefield 2142 for free! I don't mean to be flame bait...but is the podcast any good? I tried listening to it and it just seemed dry and monotone...almost like no one had enthusiasm...just made it really tough to listen to it...I'm sure the content is great but I can't stand the voices

they think the tip where jumpin on a walker from an apc pod works but it doesn't. When you land on the walker u just die. Apparently u can put c4 on top of it

Strange to see so many newbies around here. But then again, BF2142 brang a lot of them.

I've listened BF Podcast since Episode 16 but haven't really bothered to post (or even register here).

Of course good information in this episode as always, listen to it.

One complaint I have about BF podcast that I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed through the episiodes... they praise everything and anything. Surely they can find some constructive criticisms, it gets pretty pointless to listen to these guys when I have read all the news in TotalBF posts already. All they would have to do is have one person on the podcast that would play devil's advocate and the show would be twice as entertaining and thought provoking. As of right now its just "here's whats new, and (big surprise) we love it!"

Although they can make me laugh sometimes:-) and Poco Loco is great

Actually it is in some English dialects, as is "brung" as a past tense for the word "bring". Anyways sorry, I forgot to say "brought" for some reason (memory loss, lol?).

Yeah i've noticed this too. They're being very positive about the Ad thing and all the other stuff that many people don't like. I mean, what does DICE benefit from EA's ads if they don't directly receive any money from it? And what about EA? Does EA need more money? Hell no.

But overall this episode was the general 'goodness' the BFPodcast brings us every week. I especially like Bruce's tips (although many of them I already knew).

Yeah, I've noticed that too. When they were talking about advertising they basically contacted Dice / EA / Whoever and said "So, what's this all about", and EA responded "Oh it's great, you're going to love it" so they go and say "Yay it's a great, we're going to love it." Come on fellas, you can do better than that.

They definitely need a devil's advocate as you say, to cut through the fluff and make the show more objective and, dare I say it, less arse-kissing.

Despite that though it can be entertaining so you may as well have a listen to see if you like it, it's not a large download.
