On FG, you can go into User CP (I believe) and delete your account. Do that if you're paranoid about them having your info.

i just think that the security of information on this site should be better than it currently is...
good security would prevent this occuring in the first place.

Yeah because poor security is what leads to being hacked. That's why the big players in the software fields never get hacked. Microsoft is rock solid. No one can cheat if Punkbuster is turned on.
Websites get hacked. It happens. Any bored script kiddy can screw with a site if they really wanted to.
One thing though, before anyone starts thinking this is some conspiracy by Fever, I'd suggest that it's either a fever MEMBER being a prick, or someone who knows about the past situations and wanted to start a little soap opera of his/her own to watch.

Deja Vu?
This happened with all of the Total sites (I think, or at least it happened with Total BF2) where some disgruntled admin or something switched some crap around and sent out a bunch of fake emails saying that you had been switched to Fever Gaming. His name was Wizard Gamer or something like that... anyways long story short looks like he's pullin the same bull again.

i'm assuming by your self-rightous attitude that you are accusing me of being the person you are describing...?
you idiot. i was alerting the admins to the problem. if you truely thought that i was just causing drama, wtf did you add to the thread??

i didn't click the wrong link. www.totalbf2142.com is one of only TWO sites in the favourites folder titled "Battlefield". (the other one is www.totalbf2.com)

Dont be a complete smacktard. Information security is a legal matter. A website that doesn't keep it's information secure is failing to comply with the regulations of the privacy laws.

Yeah, that's exactly what this is. and that's why you, being such a self-rightous asshat, joined in with the thread. Thank you for your completely pointless input into my search for finding out why MY details have been taken by another site.
When GameWizard stole the totalbf2 ID's, bf2142 wasn't out, and the site didn't exist. so, how was he allowed to take the information from another Total site AGAIN?

I wasn't talking about anyone in particular. I was just giving my opinion to try and AVOID casting blame for something when no one knows what happened. I honestly wasn't targeting anyone. But you took it that way and maybe that made you mad and you figured "maybe I WILL blame someone even know I don't know all the facts yet, hows that!?" I'm not a huge fan of GameWizard either but I'm not going to just jump on some imaginary wagon here and start blaming him for no reason.

Well here is the story a person... wanted to move some of the information from one place to another they did so. GameWizard was the founder/owner of all the total network including the domain name. Over time MyInternetServices became the owner of the total network and GameWizard started Fever gaming.
The information from the totalbf2 site was copied over to fever gaming. This is why all of the totalbf2 members user accounts are on fever gaming website as they are an exact copy. All the passwords are still encrypted in MD5 hashes virtually impossible to crack. So all of your user information is secure and changing your password would change the MD5 hash making it even more secure (if you change all of your passwords at least every 30 days or something to that nature.)

Well if that is the case then someone with access to the MySQL database is copying and moving them over to fevergaming.
It is all preventable if myis owns the domain name (which it looks like they do now) Then restricting access to all files, databases, etc. to Spawndaemon, then from down the list everyone elses admin privillages are restricted to the forums and not the actual user control panel for the websites/databases, etc.
After that is done all non vb pages should be stripped from all the sites.
Basically reinstall vbulletin on all sites then restore the databases to each site.
Summary
Full Admin Access to domains/webhosting/forums/server = Spawndaemon
Forum Access minus access to see the maintance, log, an tab in the admincp = everyone else.
Then the only superadmin should be Spawndaemon and everyone else gets their permissions from him.
All server query's disabled and the only one with ftp access should be spawndaemon.
Then the images and pictures can be reimported, then they templates, then the pages the or vbonly
Problem solved.

Just thought i would add some humour to the subject.
If you are worried about someone getting your personal information, i have a little trick that has always works for me: its as simple as not sharing your addres and phone number on any site. Trust me, it works everytime.

All the fever gaming sites are linked so when they stole your totalbf2 acccount it was made possible to use on all there fever sites.
I don't think it has happened again.
