Why aren't shock paddle kills tracked anymore?

I sort of miss seeing this stat.

It was always funny to see someone get killed by them in bf2 and with 2142, if you're lucky, you can shock paddle an entire enemy squad if you come up on them just at the right moment.

I was kind of hoping there would be a secret set of shock paddles you could unlock, like the knife. Perhaps a secret shock paddle award as well.

So what do you guys think, don't you miss seeing that stat? :laugh:

Yeah, I miss it. I shock paddled a guy. Something my friend yelled at me for because I didn't get his dogtag.

Well, I wish there were a shock paddle stat.

But it is VERY VERY VERY easy now, cos you can spam the left click three times, YOU CANT MISS...!!!!

I imagine that is because only "ZOMFG I COOLR DAN U" people would really bother getting enough of them for it to matter. Everyone else would just get their knife out.

i dunno actually.

I always play as assualt, and i like to see how many (or few) people ive defib'd... to DEATH!!!!!1!!!!eleven.

Not that i go around trying to get defib kills, but for me anyway, they're opportunistic one-offs.

Like the other day i was playing some titan map, our squad was attacking their titan, consoles 1 + 2 were down and we were going for #3. i heard an explosion go off just as we battled our way through the doorway and then a call for a medic... so i got my defibs out and sprinted to where the medic calls were coming from (in that little corner bit opposite the console)... i dived on top of the body, and ZZZZZZZAP!!!
Only, what i thought was a dying team mate was in actual fact a camping support dude - you could say i gave him a heart attack!:laugh:

Anyway i have defibbed around 6ish people and got defibbed twice (on belgrade on the building 2nd floor and while defending titan hallways)

I prefer defib to knife (assuming I don't just blast em w/ a baur). It's faster, I know the range, and I can do 3 of em in quick succession, unlike the knife that has a set "firing" rate.

I killed with the defib for the first time in bf2142 the other day. I swear that the expression on the victims face changed to a look of horror as they zapped the last bit of life from his decrepit corpse ...
