View Full Version : Enhancement: Kill bonus based on the 'value' of the enemy?

Wouldn't it be a nice enhancement to the point system if you get a kill bonus based on the value of certain enemies?

For instance, if I shoot an enemy that has no kills against our team I get 1 point and if the enemy is on a 50 kill streak against us I still get 1 point:(

I think stopping that kind of rampage against us should be worth a couple of extra bonus points.

What do yo guys think?

It makes sense, but implementing that now would be unfair for all those people who got up to their level without this system....

But its a good idea.

Yep. I always applaud the guys who stop me and my friends when we reach a 13-16 kill streak

it wouldn't really be unfair, because it would have to be on a per game basis, not based on your rank. So you don't get any more points for killing Noobish Noob if he's in last place on the server, you get bonus points for killing, say, the top two people on the server, or, someone who has a kill streak greater than 3 or 4.

It would be easy to implement, and would not be unfair to anyone, and could be balanced so that everyone is not just going for the top 3 people on the server, you could make it so that if you kill one of the top 3 people, it's only worth 1.5 points, but if you kill someone on a kill streak greater than 4 it's worth 2 points. No one but you knows how many people you have just killed, so it would be a fairly random system.

I would much prefer that killing someone in a vehicle gave some kind of bonus.
Say 2 teamwork points if you take 50 % health of a manned vehicle as infantry. (except the FAV, only 1 point there).

Engineers get little reward for their hard work.

All I care about is a bonus for the hard work engies do to keep vehicle-whores in line.
