View Full Version : is this game a lottery?

I played the demo and want to buy this game (it just went from £27 to £20) but I'm holding back because of the endless CTDs and bugs reports.

is it really a lottery of buying it and hope that it works?

I find the continous patching that creates new problems ridiculous (never mind about the despisable in game ads).

it's hard to judge if the majority of players doesn't experience problems...they are more likely to just be playing rather then post they don't have CTDs.

I think it is random. I have a better computer than my friend and same internet provider. He plays the game flawlessly. I get random master server errors. He gets titan lag but I don't. Maybe there are some other things (not ocmputer or internet connection) which determine errors?

Mostly problems occur when your system is not set up properly. Make sure your system is ok (latest drivers, pb up to date, no unnecessary background processes ...)
In most cases a healthy system and a rig that meets the requirements for the game half way should run it fine.

If the demo was ok the retail will be too. Give it a try then.

I don’t have any more CTD or Master disconnects. But I did get them at the start when it got released, can’t say if I stopped having this issues cos I upgraded the firmware of my Router or something that EA/DICE done.

Don't buy it, we have enough whiners that can't spell playing this game already.

Meh, roll the dice bro. You'll love it or hate; very little in between from what I hear. Personally I can't put the damn thing down.

here is a novel idea. How about buying the game and forming your own opinion about it? Not trying to bash the OP, but asking people around here for their opinion on something is sure way to get a bunch of biased replies.

The game doesn't have enough ads to become annoying yet. You'll need a decent system to play too.

What really ruins the game though, is mostly the people who play the game. You know, the guys who always punish you for a TeamKill no matter what, StatPadders, People who still can't get the hang of the game even after 2 weeks and run around like a headless chicken, etc.

Bugs and exploits happen too, like Disconnections and Kicking and CTD and all that sort, but I haven't had it happen to me very often, apart from Need for Speed Carbon. Now that game is a CTD mine.

I've never had problems with it and I think it's a great game. Even if there is the occasionally CTD, it's still worth playing.
