Its too bad for sniper they didnt make a heat scope, so you could see different heat signatures, I think itd be cool, unbalanced maybe but cool what you guys think.

Recon class doesn't need that.

I dont think the BF engine would be able to handle it.

It would be pretty cool though.

Sure it could handle it.
And yes, this would make a great addition. I think manual focus should be required with a +/-10m variation. Unlike the Support/Uav this tool would be harder to use but provide more intel.

It wouldn't work. Vehicles give off heat. Teammates give off heat. The ground gives off heat. That is something that would be more useful at night time, not during the day. They had heat vision in SoF2 which actually worked great, nobody could hide if you had one of those on. I wish they would make an SoF3...

Would be cool... should've replaced the 4x zoom since that thing is near useless unless you want to spend 10 seconds aiming at a target.

Its impossible to get points as a sniper in the first place, unless you dramatically manage to pull off 40 kills with a sniper.

Ya probly should
back on topic, I was thinking like you could see blurs of heat if you wanted to (switch back and forth) so you could see where they are when they are hiding.

Hah, you must be mental, right? Or never properly sniped with the recon class? Or never sniped at all..?

Any good recon sniper will tell you the 4x scope is an absolutely essential tool. Without it the sniper is basically a mickymouse version of the Support class, totally blind and can hardly "recon" worth a damn.

If anything, the stabilizer is what needs replacing, and a heat-scope is a viable candidate.

Hmmm, the Stabilizer is as effective as the 4x except that it uses up a slot. If anything was to be replaced though i would go for the stabilizer. Btw, if any of you have played Perfect Dark for N64, and used the railgun for it. That is what i ment by Manual zooming.

I dont even bother with the stabiler most times, unless I can just barly see there head would I ever consider it.

I find it handy when ever i'm acting as a dedicated sniper. It increases my odds of landing a HS on a moving target by atleast 50%.

This game has a sensor that supposedly detects the beating of enemy's hearts from a distance, I get the feeling they weren't worried about realism...

While the heat scope would be a cool idea, I think the NetBat system works close enough to one anyway. You just have to spot the guys. "Q + Left Click". Its easy.

Whats your point?

40 kills with the sniper is f***ing easy, 64 player Berlin, with morreti = 40 kills!

WIth all 64 players that is.

It's EA. You can't expect them to come up with anything that is amazing or out of the ordinary. Im surprised they added the wall seeing thingy that I unlocked and never use because of its uselessness.

It would be cool if they replaced the "red" crappy scope on the zeller (leaving its smaller size even... if they do this anyways), and replace it with a scope that you can change the visual mode from normal to thermal and back. Would give something that would make people actually want to USE the thing more.

It'd also nice to get an extra bullet in the clip... even if they need to increase reloading time to account for the change... 3 bullets just isn't enouph compaired to 5... and the advantages it DOES have just doesn't make up for the larger scope and bigger clip of the standard sniper rifle.

The red scope is a bug/glitch, turning the textures up (which i can do only on singleplayer) removes the red colouring, on high textures the red colour circles the edge of the scope, not the whole thing.

THEY NEED TO FIX IT, cos its a disadvantage for lower end users.
