Yep. It's called going outside and meeting local people. You get talking, and what do you know you made a friend. Later you two might "socialize" and "hang out". Christ...

Local players, can be asked door to door. Just go around your neighborhood and ask, Hello Sir/Mis, I play BF2142, I was wondering If you do too. If by chance you do, catch me tonight on a server.

Otherwise no I don't know how to locate people next to you....

you dont have to be mean, he just thought with all of the ppl programming loc files, or stuff for your g15 someone might have a progy that can find ppl within a given area.
