Good Conduct Ribbon x 2?

Okay, today i was playing and in one round i got a Good Conduct Ribbon
I tell myself, "Yay, I wasn't expecting that"
then after that round was over I took my 500 points and ranked up.


Then I disconnected from that server, and joined another....
I was playing trying to get my Titan Offesive Badge thingy (30 hours titan and 15 titan kills) When i get another Good Ribbon and another 500 points.

I Feel like i Stat padded....But hear me out. How can i avoid what i did? I CONDUCTED MYSELF GOOD, no tks / teamdamage and a bunch of kills.

Summary: i Got one GC Ribbon in one round and its 500 points, then joined another server and got another good ribbon badge with another 500 points


Can you get the Good Conduct Ribbon more than once? If not then This can be a severe bug.

P.S i got my silver Offensive titan badge and ranked again one round after my other rank

I forget how many times I received the Gold Collector's Badge...along with the points attached to it before the thing finally registered in BFHQ. Just take as many Good Conduct Ribbons as you can and laugh at EAs amazing ranking system with each successive ribbon.

I've gotten a couple of big awards multiple times and I believe it's due to lag and the way stats are passed around.

It would seem as though career points are given priority and transfered much more frequently than awards and statistics. I also believe that a sever does a query for each player when they connect against the stat servers to determine which awards a player is eligible to receive in that round. Basically, if you receive an award, leave the server, and don't see the award in your BFHQ, you can connect to another server and receive that award again. Because the query is done when you first connect, even if the award is updated while you're playing the second game, you'll receive it in the second server... The variable had already been set.

If all this is true, this can really be exploited, especially in peak hours. One would simply need to join a server, gain an award as quickly as possible, disconnect, and re-earn the award on a different server. This can be done over and over until one of the servers gets the award fulled updated at the end of it's round. During peak hours, this update takes longer...

Unless EA wants to spend a LOT more money on hardware and bandwidth and disconnects, I doubt this will ever be fixed.

Yeah, I've gotten the 2k point legion of merit ribbon x5 since I've gotten 2142. Easy points, and I guess it more than makes up for the lost points when 2142 first came out :D

Yesterday I first got the bronze and then the gold assault service badge in a single round. Gold was a legit award, bronze wasn't (I'd been on silver for about 2 weeks).

So it doesn't look like it's a matter of the master server lagging behind and sending slightly outdated data, more like the master server simply sending incomplete query results (or dropping them along the way). Or it might be a problem at the game server end, where player data might not be dealt with properly. It all seems pretty random anyway.

Next time I'd like to be hit by a 500 pt bug though, not a 20 pt one :D

I have received the Good Conduct Ribbon 6 times in the last 2 weeks.
I've lost count of the number of times I've received various Bronze badges repeatedly.
It seems that sometimes when I connect, the master server will recognise my global requirements but not that I've already received a particular award in the past.
It will read that I have 50+ hours but not that I have received the ribbon. Then 10 kills in a round later.. new ribbon (again) and 500 points.

It sounds cool but to have gotten 3000+ points this way seems a little cheap. That feeling of earning ranks and unlocks disapears each time it happens.

Not feeling guilty- don't worry about that!
It's just comes down to what your points and stats and all that mean. Noone else cares about your stats. I care about my stats, you care about yours. Noone else even looks at them. If my score and rank is boosted by a bunch of fake points that I didn't ask for, the score becomes hollow. It's not real.

does it work with ribbons, because you could get some MAJOR exploiting there with the 2,000 point ones, plus one only needs 10 kills an a round which isn't even very hard

Don't feel guilty. It's a server side issue. I myself have got 4000 odd points free from Duped awards due to EA's imcompetance.

Of course it never happens to me.

I met the required 20 kills IAR and 300 global kills (got the global prior to starting the round) and I place third overall with 25 apm kills and guess what...no gold badge.

Took two additional rounds to get the gold badge:laugh:

Maybe that's what happened to me. You earned your gold badge and instead they gave the 500 points to me in the form of yet another good conduct ribbon! And another!;)

Yesterday while I was squaded with my brother defnding the titan he gets the Recon bronze, Explosive Gallantry bronze, Good Conduct, and Legion of merit in 2 games. The most recent of those that he has recieved was the Legion of Merit, which he first was awarded over a week ago. EA layed an extra 2540 points on him within 2 games. Man was I jealous hehe.

I earned the recon bronze badge twice, just when i started to play and had the 11 kills, some times the game awards twice the same thing, but that doesnt mean that you're a stat padder.
