Battlefield 2142 CD key help

hello to all reading my freind gave me his bf2142 game as he is getting an xbox 360 and he has already created an acount. i tried to make an new acount for myself but it says cd key already used any one know how to get past this ? he wont tell me his password becuase he uses it for msn and xfire and stuff like that. is there an way to change the cd code i know you could do this with bf2 and ect.

Nope. Each account is bined to a specific CD key. Your either going to have to buy another copy of BF2142 or get your friend to change the password to whatever you want. I suggest telling your friend to change the password. Its much easier, and you can create a new soldier as well in the account.

If he sold you the game then I would advise getting your money back because the CD key is connected to the account!

I've tried numerous times getting onto this topic but never gotten an answer and I'm intereszted to know specifically off a DICE employee why they did this... But know there is nothing you can do besides possibly comtacting EA customer support and requesting for the bind to be reset however I don't think that will work... This is a particularly irritating issue for me since I used to pretty much always play BF2 at comp cafes however since I have moved onto 2142 I can't play that there because the accounts are binded and they can't put them on the computer...

darn lol i didnt pay for it, ill tell to change the password and ill just create and new solider. can you have more than two accounts on bf2 ?
