Same squad map to map?

WHy dont more servers have it so that the squad you were in when the map ends, is the squad youre in when the next round starts?
I was on the 1st AD server the other night, and I think it was the first time I saw this.
1st Armored Division, great server btw.
ANyway, I would think seeing how the various squads perform from map to map would be a great aide to a smart commander. I can see this and I havent commanded game one.
It also gives a player a great opportunity to actually learn how various SM's work together.
If I see someone play cool over the course of a couple of hours, Ill know it wont be a waste of time to add him/her to the buddy list

Most servers switch players at the end of the round, so when the map changes you are still on the same team just the squad list has been reset.

Because teamswap is broken. AFAIK there is no current reliable way to swap teams and keep all the squads intact. This doesn't affect non-swapping teams however, since it seems to remember squads as long as you remain on the same team (even after map changes).

Its bugged - lets hope in the future we'll see a fix. Always being stuck as PAC on an all-city map server is the closest thing to masochism this game has to offer. "Oh joy....base-raped in Berlin AGAIN....":rolleyes:

I wish more servers didn't swap teams at the end of rounds. The only servers I find that don't are Insomnia servers and I play on those most of the time.

Also, what setting would show if a server doesn't swap the teams every round if I searched game monitor? It would be great to find some more servers I like.
