How to use the Silo in Titan Mode

I was playing in the Titan Mode today. I got near one of the Silo missile launcher, but I don't know how to use it. I don't know how to drop supplies and also where do you get the supplies to drop at the Silo missile launcher. Thank you.

You don't have to do anything at the silo; you capture it just like capturing a cp by staying near it. Once under your control the silo will automatically fire off a missile every 2 minutes.

I don't understand your question about dropping supplies at the silo. What are you trying to do?

You don't need to drop supply crates to the silo, unless you're hacking/exploiting

I've never seen it personally but I thought that that silo missile exploit does not work with the regular ranked servers because it requires a mod/hack.

It would be easy to spot... imagine a silo not firing 1 missile but a gazillion of them one after the other... destroying your (full-health) titan in less than a minute.

doesn't take hacks, a commander can do it illegitimately with a few supply drops but its a double edged sword, if the enemy captures the silo then its firing on his own titan. it will never fire like that hack, one after the other but he can get it fire a little faster than normal. not to mention the commander would be leaving his team with no supply drops.

Must be a serious glitch. The silos and the crates are completely separate from one another. One should have nothing to do with the other.

^^ Yea thats what I thought, someone said that if you do a supply drop it will fire slightly faster, but thats wierd since you don't need to resupply the silo's.

Tip: don't sit ontop of the silo. I tried that once and the missile killed me when it launched :(

I have to laugh, when I first got the game, I decided I didn't need to watch the Titan tips video because I had played BF2. Well genius me was sitting there the whole round trying to use the silo and get it to fire. Occasionally, after I had just captured one, I thought I had successfully launched it and wondered why I couldn't get it to fire again. People must've wondered what was wrong with me that day, I don't remember how many matches it took before I realized :p

lol, I remember something similar happening to me in Battlefield Secret Weapons. In some preview I had read about the new Wasserfall guided missiles and wanted to try them out. It was Hellendoorn, and the German rocket base had these huge rockets, so the whole round I was standing and jumping all around them, pressing E and trying to get in. Finally, after getting some questions from curious onlookers and explaining what I was trying to do, it was explained to me that these were actually V2 rockets, not Wasserfall..... :D

It does work with ranked servers, was on a Multiplay UK server last night about 20 supply crates piled up and the silo was firing constantly (about every second), the Titan was blown very quickly (about 2 mins).

This was also aided by the whole opposing team raping the (commander assets base all the round!)

My question is why buy a game to CHEAT and also why does EA or Multiplay not do anything about it, as it clearly breaks rules in the ROE? These stupid hacks/cheats are spoiling this game for myself and everyone else who wants to play the game legitimately. :mad:

We will probably have everyone doing it soon so the round only lasts 0.00003 seconds! What's the point?

Sorry for that rant but I needed to get it out of my system! Ahhhhh, better now! And I didn't swear thats got to be a good thing my computer screen got that last night! :|:

You know people are cheating when you go past a silo and it's firing merrily every second and your titan shield lasts not much longer.

I jumped in a server, spawned in a flying transport, and jumped out at the first silo. As I was prone at one corner capping it, I noticed a supply crate come down, then realized it landed next to another one. After I capped the silo, I went around the corner, and saw that there were about 40 supply crates. I remembered this thread as I looked back to the silo, and realized that the missiles were launching about one per second. I took a bunch of screenshots. The titan lasted about a minute, and once it blew, all the titan missiles flew around at random, chasing each other.

Really though, this exploit does nothing for anyone. No extra points, or anything. It's really just a waste of everyone's fun.

I've played on just three servers tonight, and they all had someone using this cheat. It totally wreaks the game. My question is, can you tell who the cheater is from the score board or is there anyother way of telling?

Bleh... I didn't know of this exploit. Was playing commander earlier today and one squad kept asking for supply drops on the same place (near a silo). I just granted it to them no questions asked...
