When you are in a Titan, how do the red forcefields that are in the hallways get turned off. I thought that maybe you had to blow the consoles in sequence but I don't think that is it.

You do have to destroy 1 to get to 3 and 2 to get to 4 but you don't have to do 1,2,3,4.
Also there have been, and may still be, some glitches and exploits to allow someone to destroy the console/core out of sequence.

There are 4 consoles in each Titan, no matter the team. To each console it's assigned a corridor.
So you'll get 4 consoles in 4 corridors.
level 1 corridors (corridor 1 and 2) do not contain the force field and these are the first to be taken out.
Althought there isn't a specific sequence to destroy them, as DeathEngineer said, they're grouped in pairs, and so when you take out the console in corridor 1 you'll gain access to corridor 3. The same to the other goup, if you take out console 2, the shield in corridor 4 fails.

By the way, all four corridors and the reactor room have force fields in the back. These never go away, and are meant as anti-camping tools.

Everyone else pretty much covered it all.
I'm going to add that in your own Titan you can walk through the force-fields. I can't remember if they show up red or some other color, but just thought I'd throw that out there as well.
