If any of you guys use this, does it work for 2142? COs it doesnt for me, and I just wanna know if it does or not for others.

Dunno what you guys are talking about, but Ventrilo > Teamspeak. Better bandwidth and better quality. My Planetside clan uses it.

Get what? Ventrilo? Its awesome, and is way easier and smoother to use than Teamspeak.

If you were talking about Planetside, unless you are really, REALLY patient...

Agreed, I had the same problem as Vika and using the alt directx method sorted it out.

It's working for me. Make sure you do the "alternate directx" thing and also make sure xfire is not running. xfire and TSO interfere with one another and TSO gives xfire priority and doesn't work if both programs are running.

i can get it to work, but it does something very odd. It anti-alises my screen :|..... i have anti-alising off because it makes my screen flash, but for some strange reason it does it when TS overlay is on.

i noticed TS overlay says its resolution is 1024xXXXX (cant remeber number), which doesnt match my game resolution, that may be the problem

mine was fine, showed 800x600 and didnt flash, the only time my screen goes black and comes back (like 1 millisecond) is when i use the on the fly sensitivity on my copperhead mouse.

Do you have any other kind of "heads-up display" type program running? Xfire used to make TSO crash before TSO and xfire agreed to "play nice" but I imagine just about any program that puts information on top of the game window could cause problems. The only thing that immediately jumps to mind is FRAPS but I'm sure there are lots of other programs out there that do similar types of things.

iv got Xfire off, when i try it, still does it. i dont have any other programs running either. Bah doesnt worry me, iv been in my clan long enough to tell whos talking, but there are the 2 people who sound the same :)

I DL'd a Vent overlay yesterday... Punkbuster kicked me from the server for having it up. =-[

Ventrilo and TS are different, TS overlay doesnt seem to get the person kicked.

I have never used Ventrilo.

TSO will never work if xfire is on. I just turn off xfire or load it on my laptop instead when I want to play b/c TSO is so much more useful than xfire to me.
