Pushing people around in 2142 (literally)

ok this needs confirmation, but after a round on a tardy server i seem to have discovered that if you walk/run into a friendly you push him a little.

nothing special... except for this asshat of a squadmate on a Suez Canal round who kept pushing me off the super-high perches. I was wondering why i kept falling to my death and was tired of podding, so i got a beacon up on the perch (the nme gnship driver was having problems controlling the gunship so no worries for me).

I only got wind of what he was doing after i saw him go prone and bump a fellow sniper off the perch, and then AGAIN. so i tried it, and it worked >< only thing was i wasn't experienced in pushing people around, so i fell along with him. and he had the GUTS to laugh at my noobness in pushing. so since kickvotes never work i just created a new squad.

i did get revenge in the end though - bumped him into the nme titan vent with APMs in it. sweet :D

anyway, can someone confirm this? perhaps the idiot was stupid enough to jump int the vent while i was bumping him - highly unlikely, since he was staring down at it for a few seconds though.

Yes you can definately push people. I was on a server once and our commander was there, but not at his computer. After two rounds of standing where he spawned on the titan and not doing anything people started to get tired of it. Whenever someone had the chance they would push him around the inside over to the things that go from the bay floor to where the shield comes down at. Keep pushing and...bye-bye. He had something like 20 deaths and no kills, haha. Needless to say we lost that round but it was fun anyway.

Sometimes it's actually quite handy, somebody is running behind you and boosts you forward.

I was playing titan mode with a buddy a few nights ago. We were both defending after our shields went down. I was prone on the farthest back point of the titan, so I could pick troops off as they podded up.

So, a minute or two went by where we had no action, so he comes up to me and pushes me off the edge of the titan with a big laugh on our vent server. On the way down, I remember asking myself, "Do I really want to run around for the next 10 minutes trying to find an APC to pod back up? ... Nah..." *splat*

Just out of curiousity were you squadleader? Because you can kick someone from your squad if you want instead of creating a new one.

Honestly, I'm not trying to make fun of you by pointing this out. You might have just got the game so I didn't know if you knew is all.

It's under "Manage Squad" by the way. And you can also lock the squad so no one can join by clicking the padlock icon.

and sometimes when you are the receiver of one of those pushes, your guys some times says "ouch"

I do that sometimes, yes i know its wrong to do but i just cant resist myself. I Rarely do it but i saw this guy somewhere high so i pushed him off. Its really fun to watch.
