OK, so I don't know if this has been discussed already, but I have a question about explosives. My assumption was that grenades do NOT count as explosives when referring to the badges/pins. Is that correct? I have always thought that, but on EA's stat page, they list grenades under the same "explosives" category as the others (RDX, APM, etc.) Sorry for the elementary question, but I just wanted to know. Thanks.

Nah they don't count as explosives. Explosives, if you trying to get the Explosive Efficieny Pin, are APM, RDX, and motion mines. I didn't even know motion mines counted toward that pin until a few days ago when I got 2 of those pins in camp gibraltar defending toll station against those FAVs. 16 kills with motion mines. Those relentless squad leaders w/ FAVs.

Grenades should be explosives IMHO. I would think that makes sense.

RDX/MM always counts toward the pin. APM's should, but they are inconsistent. Sometimes you get the pin, other times not. They all count toward the Explosive Gallantry badges. Grenades don't count because grenade spam is already annoying enough, the last thing you want to do it reward people for doing it.

Agreed, grenades should stay explosive-less (heh). It is already relatively easy to get kills with them, and I feel you should make a special effort to get the Explosive awards, not just spam nades with any and all classes.

motion mines too, but they often register incorrectly so they won't get help you get your pin easily.

And APM spam isn't?

Ahh yes, the I[killed]Someone register... I can't figure out when that happens, but I'm certain it is specific.
