View Full Version : Regarding the booster pack(s) and credit cards
I keep seeing people say they won't be able to buy it because they don't have a credit card or don't trust making online purchases with their debit cards.
In case you didn't know, you can go to almost any major bank and purchase pre paid visa gift cards for whatever amount you like.
You don't need an account at the bank either, just go up to the counter and tell them you want to buy one for whatever amount you wish.
They work just like a normal visa check card, you just enter the number and once the money on it is spent, throw it away.

I was also going to post that you can open a free checking account at any number of banks who will then mail you a debit mastercard/visa. Although your method is easier methinks.

For some ppl, it would take too long to download the Booster pack
Wonder if that pre paid credit card thing exists around where I live.
Otherwise....I would have to.......play BF2142....

It's probably because they just don't want it.

Too long? I haven't done the math on this, but I would think that any PC with a broadband connection good enough to play BF2142 would be able to download the boosterpack overnight?

Hmmmm ya overnight should do it, but the fact is, it would be better for EA to make a small patches so that we wouldn't have to pay for it and wouldn't have to wait a whole day to play it.

I might be confusing this with another game, but weren't you able to preload BF2142 over EA Link? So you could play it 1 second after release.

Hmmmm was it the case?
Didn't know that cos I didn't pre ordered it :/
I've just seen the trailer, wondering if it is worth getting.
If the new upgrades are available in vanila, I will get it. but if not,,,,, I'll have to think over it once again

From the leaked info:
* Increased persistence. Ten new rewards and ten new unlock items at the top of the unlocks trees, available also on core game maps, take persistence to new levels. Unlock credits earned in the booster pack can also be used in the core game.
I have decided to save my unlocks until I know if there is anything interesting in the booster
