after thinking about it im beginning to understand.

If i have to guess the new unlocks for recon will be another machine gun (Since the right tree is for infiltration)

And the left will be a sniper that instead of having zeller properties will have more ammo.

Im just hoping they add another HMG to the support guys =D.

What do you guys think they will add to the others? Im stumped on the engineers.

I'm guessing one new weapon for each class, one new piece of equipment for each class, and then of course, the player ability and squad leader whatever.

*I just hope that the one for player ability is dual pistols.
*SL unlock will probably be a Accipiter type drone that the SL can control.
*Maybe engi will have a guided anti vehicle missile, by guided I mean it locks on and tracks on its own.

Actually i think both will be weapons cause its at the TOP and accessories come first.

i think thats Armed Assault you are thinking about... yes Armed Assault does come with a wrist watch, compass and bandages, dont laugh though its an awesome game

i would love to see some sort of little robot that would look like the enforcer sentry gun but it would have wheel and it would scan for enemies lock follow and kill no matter where you let it go it would chase him down.

I hope Recon gets a better Carbine. I hope Sniper gets a better (Bigger clip) sniper, like you said.

I think maybe Engi will get a Pilum-like-gun, that fires a slightly slower moving, but more guided round.

One more shottie somewhere maybe please?

There's a distinct lack of imagination going around here. People just seem to want rehashs of what's already there, rather than something completely different. I mean why would you want engi to get a pilum-like-gun, when it already has the actual bloody thing. Even if DICE themselves are likely to display such an absence of creativity ( the new vehicles say otherwise imo ), it doesn't mean you have to stoop to their level.


Here's what I posted in another thread, maybe it'll give some people some ideas.

I made a post on this a while back, here are some of the things i suggested -

Recon class:

1. Grapple gun. Basically a bf2 grappling hook with a winch.

2. Taser gun. Pistol modification that paralyses players for a few seconds (complete with a twitching/spasming animation ala splinter cell). Silenced, unequipabble with standard pistol and with a recharge system instead of ammo.

Assault:

1. Riot shield. Provides full frontal protection from all infantry weapons, but prohibits sprinting, leaves feet vulnerable if not crouched and restricts field of view.
Can be used in conjunction with pistol, though only 1 clip as reload requires putting the shield away.
Also enables shield bash attack which stuns players for a few seconds leaving them unable to move or fire.

2. Combat Enhancer. An injector which provides potent combination doses of adrenalin and nootropics. Upon injection this grants the player with infinite stamina, a 100% increase in normal speed and sprinting speed and minor health regeneration for a limited time.
Only carries three shots and must be resupplied using medic hub.
Can be injected on self and others.


Squad Leader:

1. Shield projector. When thrown on the ground this emits a large shield bubble for approximately one minute. Players can walk in and out of the bubble, but vehicles and weapon fire is blocked. Can only be resupplied after shield has dissipated.


Miscelleanous:

1. Markerlight. Laser targetting device capable of calling in off screen support. Could be mortar strikes, small bombing runs or tankbuster aircraft. Would require constant aiming at target.

2. Flamethrower. Does exactly what is says on the tin. Could be a rifle attachment for assault or stand alone weapon for engineer or support. Stand alone version would have the ability to throw reserve canisters, which would explode on contact like incendiary grenades.

3. Grenade Launcher.

and my pièce de résistance...

The Foam Gun. Firing a foam that sets on contact, this device is capable of immobilising players and vehicles, building disposable cover, sealing doorways and even disabling explosives.
On people, you would have to hit their feet to trap them ( foam could be destroyed by shooting it, and a trapped player could still fire in front of themselves). Once a player is completely coated in foam, they would quickly asphyxiate.
On vehicles, it would temporarily immobilise tracks/wheels/joints and block hover emitter thingys.
Disposeable cover would be built by aiming at the ground and firing til the foam created a small wall (IPS shield size). Continuous firing would eventually block doorways.
Though capable of being destroyed by small arms fire, the foam used in the cover would have more health.
This would probably be best suited for the engineer, and would give him alot more utility.

If there was a taser it could get a bit annoying. Imagine - CQB, you fire at the enemy with a normal gun, it gets hit 2-3 times and tases you. Then you only watch as it runs up to you and grabs your dogtags.

IRL a gun would in most cases win with a taser but not in BF, where you can get shot a few times and still function as if nothing happened.

I find most people arent really thinking about what they say.
A zellar with more bullets? Hmm..no. its pretty much a waste. U want more bullets use a stock rifle. I do.

A foam gun? Cool but it will never happen unless they code the game again.

A riot shield? Do we really want even more people playing assault? Might as well make them invincible.

Think about balance.
And. how many variants of the same kind of weapons can you get?
Im thinking they will be items. And it's items i want. New guns we dont need. The cuyrrent guns might need a small fix but thats it.

And no this wasent a flame thread. Im excited for the BP!

If they still want to say that unlocks are "different, but not superior", then I don't really see much room for new guns, especially if the want to avoid blurring the border between classes.

Personally I am hoping for new toys, I think that will add more to the game than new guns which has slightly different characteristics from the old ones.

I have a good idea.

How about a "Ping Grenade" - When you throw it at the enemy, it makes him lag like he has 1000 ping.

ability to go beserk become invincible for short time but die at end

half decent secondary weapon for the engineer
laser targeting to call in precision munitions from commander

abilty to fake being dead ????? magnet armour to stick to vehicles

hologrpahic projections of yourself to confuse enemy

what about some flash bangs
grappling hooks or jet boots for those hard to reach areas

How about a remote control missile launcher for the engineer. It would be a bit like the Redeemer in Unreal Tornament, only not so stupidly powerful. I'd also like to see a new handgun.

I would like to see:

Left: Baur and Voss upgrade in clip size (or extra clip(s) 1 for voss, extra 2 for Baur)

Support:
Right: Upgrade to Dystek pulse meter (can scan through thicker walls)
Left: Armour plates (reduce damage by 75%, half stamina, speed (while sprinting) and regeneration for stamina)

Recon:
Right: Upgrade to Active Camo (creates less noise, lasts longer (they must be using Duracell))
Left: Grapple Hook (or Zip Line)

Engineer:
Right: More rounds to Anti-air launcher (2 rounds EMP, 2 rounds explosive, one clip)
Left: Hover board (allows fast (faster than sprinting, but not as fast as normal vehicles. Can also travel on water with no penalty. Cannot use weapons)

Abilities: Pistol upgrade. Taser shocker for normal pistols (lasts about three to four seconds). More powerful Sub-machine gun with smoke grenade under barrel for Engineer (for sneaky engineers).

Squad Leader: (5 people needed (inc. SL)) Mini Orbital strike. Requires 5 min recharge (does not reset after dying, nor insta recharge after dying) Ten shells reign down in 5 seconds on red smoke grenade. Can be prevented by throwing grenade away (press "e" to pick up, and throw like grenade. Automaticly called off if thrown in water) Ten second delay between throwing the grenade and the shells striking. Small area of effect.

This is intended to be as balanced as possible, and, yes, I did borrow ideas from others, so no complaining. n00bs who feel this is S***, just feic off (no, that wasn't passing by censorship, because this is a genuine word (in Irish)

I wasn't thinking of that, but maybe you could switch modes (like the Baur or Voss between auto-fire and single shot) because my Idea was mainly for air, rather than ground (we already have the Pilum)

No. this would be a secondary fire, but you would have to give up the iron-sights (the attachment has to go somewhere)(this would be toggleable, like heavy and light armour).

I dont think the Pilum is effective against a Hachimoto or a Goliath.. Hachimoto is too fast.. And the Goliath repairs itself because or regenerative armor..That means it will get the armor back you took it before youre done reloading..

Nowhere does it say exactly how fast the armor regenerates on the Goliath. I'd like to see more tools than weapons, but don't touch the pistol. It's a sidearm not a primary weapon.

I'd also like to see something where wearing light armor makes the active camo last longer.

I think the final squad leader upgrade will instead be a commander upgrade, if your commander has this unlock he gets something in his commander menu or kit that can help the team as a whole.

Like most of it other than Voss clip, fine as is, and active Camo. In heavy vehicles you practically can't here the buzz to begin with and the crappy view screen your almost totally invisible. Seen a big increase in RDX kill since patch for camo, good enough as is.

EA likes money+Brand names. EA buys brand names (aka, BF series) to make money = milking the money cow!

Haha that'd be one for recon i guess. Imagine a guy in a FAV trying to get a road kill on you, you would be stuck to the front of it. :laugh:
