Arrrggghhh,
Someone sent me a buddy request last night (or stupid o'clock this morning if you prefer). Thing is, when I quit my last game I had enough time to SEE the request was there before loosing my connection to the master server. When I signed back in, the request was gone.
Now I feel kinda sh1tty because some guy who thought I was worth playing with again isn't going to get a response.
Is there any way of finding out who it was, is the a log file somewhere?
Failing that, if it was you, send it again... :D

I don't have an answer to your question, but on a side note, don't worry about it, he is just some guy on the internet that will have no (positive) effect on your life.

Having in game friends can have a positive effect on your gameplay. I don't think he said it was gonna effect his real life. You seem to have a self asteem issue. As far as your problem OP, I doubt you will be able to do anything. Your best bet would be to go to your server history and play on the last few servers you played on and ask around.

I wish there was a log or some kind of feature that kept track of requests and messages .. sorry that there is no such thing at this time :(
The buddy feature is a welcome addition, but it still has a few kinks that should be worked out.

Hate it when that happens. Happened to me once or twice.

Why does nobody add me to their buddy list? I am all around awesome and I make a killer grilled cheese sandwich!

There's no need to start putting bars on the high up windows at my office just yet :p It's just a little niggle that I hoped had a quick solution.

QFT, it's a handy thing to have, I'm glad they added it, but as you say there's a few issues to work on.

the buddy thing is pretty annoying when you have 60+ people on it. it could be better done. they should of been its own tab somewhere

Then remove a few of your buddies if it is so annoying then ;)

only time I add a buddy is when I notice that person actually playing as a team in the realist sense.

Been there, seen that - for a split second. :hmm:
One would think the buddy thingy would work like every other IM since .. uhm .. the dawn of time. Why cant it just keep the invite until you actually respond to it? Well I guess the common UI/user interaction concepts don't apply to EA applications.
Like ... popup dialogs reacting to keyboard input or information in the background not changing after said dialog. Buuuut ...

I usually quit the game from the console, and bypass the menu system altogether. But I read it turns out that any buddy requests I get during the gameplay won't carry over until my next session, so I'm just totally unaware of some, if not most of the requests ever sent to me.
But really, that doesn't matter all that much. Most of the people who have sent me buddy requests I'm totally unfamilair with. As a rule, I except them, but if I don't see the person or they don't contact me inside a week or so, I'll just remove them.
I only really activly play with two of my ten or so buddies.
