What we want:Expansion Packs

heyhey,

It's simple.. What do you want from an expansion pack? List it here...maybe the boys and girls at DICE/EA will listen.

Be serious and don't flame with the usual ..."I want a Patch that works, or no CTD's ect.." Other than that...say what's you'd like to see..

I'll start:

Game modes

Expansion packs, usually involve expanding or developping a story.
More of a storyline function that would make the game more interesting for example: A map rotation that would start with an invasion map, then proceed to Close Quarters and end with the losing team making a last stand defending of the their Titan.

Winning or losing a map would have implication on what the next map in rotation would be.

The last thing I want as a consumer is a map pack for 30+ dollars, when the community can provide the same for free. I understand it's extremely cost-effective but you alienate the gaming community. Don't get me wrong, I like the maps, I like the unlocks, but you're not justifying the cost to the consumer.

I'd be much more willing to buy an expansion pack that offered as much as Special Forces did.

A stand alone map pack with maybe one or two new factions with their own weapons and vehicles.

Big open maps like verdun, suez, sidi and shuhia taiba.

Titan mode for as many maps as possible.

I wouldn't even be bothered if they never added new unlocks :P

I don't know why everyone keeps whining and complaining about what is coming out. They are going to do it. You cannot change it. Live with it. I am just glad we are getting some new maps. After 3 months, I am real tired of all the ones we have. Just IMHO.

Look at what is happening and the time frame, as well as the history of EA/Dice and BF2. I believe expansion packs are not going to happen. It is all about the $$$$$$. I didn't mean you guys were complaining. It is just the general drift of the board since all the expansion ---booster controversy started.

I think i will be quite happy with the current BP, i will be buying it no matter what, its a shame most people dont like it

Oh FFS, no one said they were unhappy with the current BP! We just can safely assume it won't be the last. Anyway:

I'm hoping to see more maps in warmer climates, places that it would make sense for the world to be fighting over. Like I said, I think seeing Sub-saharan Africa would be cool. Additionally, I think they should add in the Union of African States, since it doesn't make the much sense that the EU would be doing more to defend Africa than...well, Africa.

EDIT: Also, though I seriously doubt they'd add this in an expansion, I would love to have scripted in game music. I've found its much more exciting to play the game when music is playing during combat, so I usually turn on iTunes when I play battlefield. However, it would be nice if, for example, combat music could stop so victory/defeat music could play.

Now let me remember...

10 new maps, 5-7 titan-able. New default guns/gadgets, no unlocks/ranks/badges/pins. Night map(s) with a titan (Special Operations titan modified for infiltration). New air vehicles (some for night-time). Some type of silenced something. Infiltration gadgets - grapple/zip line. Boats, too, like Devil's Perch only better.

Basically SF redone for 2142.
