I was looking for fraps game recorder program alternatives and i found two, Gamecame and a Znet's one. The thing is when i tried to use them i get punkbusted !!!!.
That shouldn't happend and it's a Punkbuster error because you are not cheating at all.
Gamecam looks awesome so I posted a message to evenbalance to see the problem, but they didn't anwer yet...

why not just use fraps?
Or get battlerecorder files and record them instead.

Maybe we love fraps so much because it doesn't screw up our systems ;)
Na dude, I have no Idea why Gamecam is being busted. Just wait for their reply. Give them some time at least.

Gamecam has some very nice features, and use less PC resources.

This is probably because the gamecam bogged your comp down a bit and accidentally caused some packet loss. but you did the right thing in messaging evenbalance... just wait a while, they are a busy group of people

Gamecam is detected as a secondary 3D application running at the same time as 2142. PB doesnt allow that cause some cheats work as a secondary 3D app as well...so PB kicks them all. Fraps FTW!!!!

an even better solution to runing fraps or gamecam is to hook a DVD recorder to the S-video out on your video card. Your video card will see it as a TV and you can run it as a clone to record whats on your PC. You will need to run an audio cable as well. Attach a TV to the DVD recorder and you can see what you are recording. Works great and on top of all that you save valuable hard drive space and PC resources.

That is correct, gamecam uses the same method to tie into the game just like most cheats do. There is no way around it unless the gamecam developer changes their hooking method.

shop around, i found a samsung DVD recorder at Target for $80 on clearance. Yeah its a little expensive to just go buy for recording games, but i had it laying around and the idea just popped in my head. Been using it to record ever since.

I asked the same thing for Gamecam and ZDSOFT game recorder. The main advantage of these 2 is that you can compress movies as you record, so no more 100gb files per 10min of movie...And they don't stress the hard drive as much. I asked evenbalanced and they said that they can't whitelist such apps bcos cheating programs use the same code...So, it seems we will have to stick to fraps/BR :((

GameCam is by far > FRAPS. GameCam, imo, uses far less of the computer than FRAPS would... and FRAPS has some gay registry thing, if you've ever had the demo installed it wonks out any cracked versions of FRAPS you may or may not have acquired.
Not that I approve of cracking software, just letting you know one reason as to why people take GameCam over FRAPS.

Oh FFS learn the tool before you shout it http://www.totalbf2142.com/forums/search.php?searchid=127950
Their is no topics about what the guy is asking.
If you can't help out in a thread besides screaming search than don't bother.
Maybe give the author a email about gamecam and tell him about the issue. Alot of games got PB so he would get more sales if gamecam is better than fraps.
Cause I am always down for something thats would take less PC resource.

I believe the guys at PB have already stated that it would leave PunkBuster vulnerable and they're not willing to risk it, so there will be no GameCam compatibility in the future.

I don't know about your system but I can record while playing with 60 fps.
Sometimes I even forget I am recording and fill up my harddrive with uncompressed movie material.
Make sure you have the radio button set at 60fps and half-size recording in Fraps.
And please remember, imho laptops were never meant for heavy gaming.
Also not meant for heavy video editing and compression.
Plus, you only have one slow laptop HDD which means you are using the same slow HDD to play, record on, and the swap-file is also located on the same hard-drive.
Fraps is every thing else but a system killer tbh.
