Engineer excellence gold badge question

Before someone chews me out, I did the search and I am still not sure what is the right answer. I'm trying to get the elusive 15 repair points for the engineer. Of course we know about the only place you can constantly find things in need of repair is on the titan. Can any of the 15 repair points come on consoles with nobody present? You get a teamwork point but don't get a repair point message when nobody is present at the consoles so I'm confused as to if this will count as part of my needed 15 repair points.

If people have to be present, I may as well give up as it's hard to find a combination of a titan parked over silos, consoles full of gunners, enemy's shooting out titan guns, and no other engineers competing with you for the points. Come on fellow engineers, I need your secrets. This is my favorite class and the only one that I have enough hours in to even qualify for the gold badge.

The repair points are bugged so when you gain a t/w point you are effectively gaining a repair point towards the badge, it just doesnt say you are all the time.

Yeah, you gain a single repairpoint when you repair a gun back to 'life'. But after a number of guns repaired you get no more unless a gunner is present.

And that was how I got mine.

The 'number of guns' is 8; these points won't appear ont he bottom of your screen but you can see them in your point totals. After that you need someone in a seat to get a repair point. I've also found I have to wait a bit between on console turning green and the next; I typically wait until I've repaired a gun just over halfway before I start on the next.

Thanks for the help guys, I finally got it last night. It didn't give me the award until I had like 22 teamwork points, and I never left the console area. There were two guys that stayed at the consoles, and somebody on the ground was nice enough to keep shooting out their guns.:D

23 teamwork points would be the least for the badge if you maxed out the gunnerless repairs. 15 repairpoints and 8 points for the Titanguns themselves.

i just got mine before, i ended the round with over 30 repair points, was on the titan practically all game

I have seen this limit in other posts. But like another poster says - it's bugged. Big time. I've walked up to the gun bank and gotten 6 quick points. Other times I do the same thing and I get 2. Each time was the first time in the round I repaired the guns. Try it - enter a game with broken guns and repair only the unoccupied ones and monitor the points you get. They will vary.

When I got my gold engy badge I had 30 t/w points. Except for a couple of armor repairs they were all titan repairs. It doesn't add up. If I got 8 points for repairing vacant guns, 2 for armor repairs that's 20 occupied titan gun repairs. Yet I didn't get the badge until after my 30th t/w point.

So it's bugged and it won't get fixed so you just have to keep plugging away.

Yo do know that you get two points for every gun you repair back to functionality. Meaning if you repair a crossed over gun gun back to 1 HP, you get 2 points, one of which will be a repairpoint. You can do this 8 times.

I did this a whole lot when I hunted the Gold Repair Badge... So I know it is definately not bugged. You just don't get anything for repairing an unoccupied damaged gun. It needs to be destroyed. So always check if the gun is green or red (not that you shouldn't repair green guns if noone is around).

You get 1 teamwork point for each time you repair a gun for a total of 8 times. Then all that is counted is your repair points.

So for first 8 guns you repair, you get 1 repair + 1 teamwork totally 16 teamwork points. After which, each time you repair the guns 100hp, it'll be just 1 repair point with no extra teamwork point.

the main way to get it on titan just repair the guns all round dont worry about points
