Hello, I am looking for some players who would like to be in a video I am making, all players will be acredited, but I will NOT spam your clan, no disrespect, but clans have said to place their marks on the video, links, etc, and I will not do it, I am sorry. The roles are simple, all you have to do is listen to the coordinators, and everything will fall into place.

The things I need are:
-Players to act out roles
-Someone to host the server [Dedicated Server] (I prefer it over that, rather than finding an empty one and working out the kinks. But if a clan can offer server time, and somehow lock the server temporarily for filming, that would be ALOT better.)
-Editors would be nice.
-Filmers. I cannot seem to get fraps to ever work, and I lag out. So, this is very needed.

If you can offer these things, I would be GREATLY appreciative, and you WILL be acredited for your efforts.

Essentially you are saying "Hey, I need someone to put my idea into action, but i will not let you benefit from your efforts except your name in the credits"

Also, editor and filmer would essentially be the same person. Its very hard to get footage to an editor over the internet without you compressing the quality of the footage, which can still amount to a couple gigs.

And yes, it is hard to get good quality footage accross the net. I edit. I know how to edit, and I WILL edit, but when I am away, I might need people to edit certain parts for me, and if their away, I will edit certain parts for them. Yes, it is MY INTELLECTUAL property, and it IS an idea that I want put into action, but I am not saying people wont be able to have their input on the subject, you can say 'hey, this would look better at this angle' or 'maybe change this part in the idea' I am a listener, and I respect everybodies input.

Well, I got a teamspeak, and you can add me over 2142, just tell me your interested in the movie in the request, etc, so yeah. Names ltorth (LTORTH all caps, yet the actual name is all low caps), my teamspeak can be given over that venue, but I will not list it publicly, sorry. And to answer your question RKO, it is my movie in the sense it is my intellectual property, aka, I thought of the story, the angles, everything. The only problem is I dont have a high graphics pc, I can barely run 2142. I meet low req's.

Just a quick post to support this guy, he was not asking any of you (people bashing him) to do all the work so he can take all the credit. All he was asking was that he wanted to make a movie but need X, X, X to help him. Its not like people in the real show business world do everything by themselves but yet you see them or mostly them taking all the credit, but they too have crews upon crews of people helping them film, edit , act, direct ect and the only spot if even you see their name is in the credits the same place where he is directly telling you yours will be added.

If you don't want to help him dont reply or simply say no, don't bash him down for wanting to try something that is brewing inside his head, it could turn out really cool if he got the help he needed.

We gamers (and I am speaking for myself at times) are selfish people....why?

Then I can speak with those about the actual video's I am thinking about, there are approximately 3, one named 'China's Honor', which is based in Battlefield 2, another as 'Restoration of Aequitas' which is based in 2142, and finally, a more recent idea is 'Behind the Truth' which is based in Battlefield 2.
I will help out with the film as much as my computer will allow me, I can act out certain roles alongside others, but running fraps will lag me out, and I want these to be actually good video's, trust me, I pay credit where credit is due, if you helped alot, trust me, you will be right up there in the credits, and I hope, you can assist in further video's, this could also be a way of making friends, and even future video's. the video will be listed under my design name, but if it's your idea, it will be posted before the video even starts. Thus if you would like, you could even join my video making community and help make alot of video's. I am in the process of making the website, so I will post it up here when it is done, profiles for each editor and credit will be made on that site as well, not to mention I know people from machinima and will have it posted on their site.

lol, yeah, I ALMOST did that, but I decided to have the link in the picture :P. figured the text in the pic was enough for BFROE :P.
Check out the Annexation of Dublin picture, i will add it to the projects a little later on with a little background story.

Basically, all of these video's are going to be about a secret military force that has infected all sides, and has spies everywhere, and has a mission of bringing order. In the Annexation of Dublin sidestory, there will be filming in the Bridge at Remagen map (Even though Remagen isn't in Ireland). It will be about 4 soldiers sent in to achieve the mission that is portrayed in this picture.

coryorth, you'd be much better off using battle recorder footage than trying to use fraps e-cameramen. That way you can get all the angles you want and you can render it yourself. It also cuts down on the number of people you need.

Check out the Sir Community threads and check out Battledirector. There's lots of discussion on how to use that to make good BR based vids.

As for a server, you'll need a BR enabled server. If you don't have too many actors you can use your own home PC (or someone else's) as long as it has a good connection.

The problem with that is 1: I lack an elite gamer PC, I run on all low, sound high, and I still catch lag, I need ram, I barely just bought CPU (1.57-2.4). And I lag using fraps, extremely. So I will be recording something that I wont be able to control, it will lag like hell. 3: I can only act out a role, I can direct, position, etc, but not much else. I can take the footage and camera angles and combine those, edit them up, add music, voiceovers, etc. Not to mention I am trying to find a new video editing program, (Any advice?) Ulead just doesn't cut it. And school is pressuring me, I am 70 credits behind -_-, and I am a senoir, yeah I slacked off after a breakup, so I am trying to cram all this together while trying to maintain my sanity. But yeah. I need ALL the help I can get with this.

Lmfao, I know I have my facts wrong about that story, this is based on a story, fiction. But, the British ARE in the same situation as America for Ireland, they think they can rid it of terrorism, but thats all but impossible. But, this video will show that a new system of order was installed, and a permanent system of martial law was installed, where the police where EU soldiers and there are outposts all over the city.

Here's how I envision the beginning of the story. (Maybe a mod can work this out, if Sir. can put the Goliath in the Sandbox mod) 4 soldiers (Still thinking on kits) enter the city, infiltrating outposts, destroying assets (Not commander ones, just imaginary objects, like files, etc), essentially disturibng the EU forces. Overtime the soldiers are completely surrounded, and are forced to holdup in a building, EU forces are waiting for orders from command, capture them, or kill them. In that time the secret force has sent in a whole brigade of armor, 5 Reisig battle walkers and 3 goliaths, all of which pretty much destroying the stronghold. An evac dropship is sent in and the soldiers are airlifted out. Last scene will show soldiers manning outposts, snipers in position, readying for EU's revenge on the thieving of their outpost.

I am quite happy about this, and I am currently rendering a session right now, the story is still in debate, but it's about one soldier with a mission, a recon soldier. Classified information was accidently leaked into a server in Belgrade, this server has two components, one as the main, and another as the backup, each servers are stored within two commander assets, the Ortbital strike unit and the UAV trailer, each of which are to be destroyed by this unit, the unit is to be deployed via pod as an EU recon soldier, he is to wear the EU BDU's, but have no contact with EU field units so as to avoid detection, and the same goes for PAC forces. The unit is to then return to EU's main for a quick evac.

All I need is people, add me to your services, AIM, Msn, Yahoo, whatever. I am on those more than xfire though. Add me to those when you are ready. I have servers I can film it on now too, they just have to fix their Battlerecorder. Once I have those things, the video will be played out, which will take no more than an hour, (Everyone must be completely serious, if you screw up the scene, the entire thing will need to be rerecorder, and you will be kicked from the project and all future ones. The Sir. Community is iffy, everytime I ask them on teamspeak I almost get no replies, they just babble on about their own things, (x.x). Needless to say, I am getting help from quite a few clans, the FSF clan (Fast Shooting Freaks), =TC= (The Company), and T.W.A.T.(The War Against Terror) each clans are contributing their own things to this, and I look forward to this video's completion, and all future ones.

Well, see here's the thing, it's not politically correct, but what video production out there truly is? It's got a moral, it's more of a dedication to the Irish, and it makes the British look bad, yes, but this is turning the tables in 2142, EU is seen as this bad@ss cool force, that is fighting for good, if you dont wanna look bad, who cares, thats your problem, I dont care, if I was British I wouldn't, I will be making one about America soon, it will make my country look bad, but I neutral in the political sense. If this is all because of the rivalry, you can seriously take that elsewhere.

me being an Irishman you asked me for my opinion in another thread on this project. I'm not sure it's the opinion you wanted but here goes.

I looked at your trailer and frankly I don't like it. What I don't like about it most is the idea. I've always been averse to the romantic-nationalistic view of Ireland. I think nationalism is a very dangerous concept and its abuse (like religion) is one of the main causes of conflict on this planet.

Anglo-Irish relations have a come a long way since the 1916 rising and subsequent historic events. I think we've made a lot of progress and we still have a lot more progress to make. What we don't need today is this digging up of the past in the context of 'poor us, look what we've suffered at the hands of the English'. We may well be called 'the land of saints and scholars' but the Irish have no monopoly on saintliness. I've lived all over the world and have seen little to suggest that the Irish are any better than the rest. Don't get me wrong, I like being Irish, I think we have a lot to be proud of. It's also true that it's essential to not forget our history. Someone once said, 'when we forget the past, we are destined to relive it' and world history has unfortunately born out the truth in this phrase repeatedly.

Now your storyline is not only provocative and antagonistic in a time when we could least do without these sentiments but it is also politically naïve and completely implausible. It does nothing to help heal the wounds, the opposite in fact.

What I will say in your favour is that you've got enthusiasm and energy and a certain technical talent. These are great gifts to have but choose very carefully how you use them.

Hahahahahah, as my full blooded Irish friend said, you wont get much good feedback from the Irish community. Which I was only testing with you, lol, and yeah. And yes, I am Irish, my grandfather was full blooded Slovak, while my grandmother was English and Irish, her mother=English, father=Irish. So yeah. English and Irish combining? Sounds like an oxymoron :P. But yeah, no worries, either your Northern Irish, or Southern Irish, either way, you dont tend to care about these things very much.
Now to comment how the community doesn't need this. You think there is progress? My friend lived in Ireland less than a couple years ago, and there is absolutely no progress, there just aren't any riots. The IRA, INLA, ICV, etc etc etc are still around, and are never going to die, I can tell your Northern Irish. There will never be progress, I know this because my true native country is Slovakia, which is in 2 parts, well, Czechoslovakia is in two parts, so I know the diverse hearts of a nation. I am sorry, but there is no hope for Ireland or Slovakia. If the same country hated its own people of another place for over a hundred years, it is done. Your hope in your country is lovely, but it will never work, the Irish, or WE Irish are passionate people, so if two passionate people were to disagree, it could bring about wars.

Alright, sorry about the lack of updates, the movie is still a go, and yes, it was necissary to post that in green and bold ;). I am trying to team up with a very good swedish production group, and get some good video's made, I might even converge, since they have the stuff I need. I still need help, and all of you who said you would help, I know you exhist, lol, dont worry, these movies will never die, I am still working on the scripts, just school, life, etc. But dont worry my lads, I will make you some awesome movies, I promise ;).

Oh, and if you haven't noticed, I have admin on a server, all I need is a good ftp server to send the battlerecorder files to, so if someone wont mind contributing, that would be totally awesome (Sorry, lol, californian, :P). So, come onto the server even, speak with me, add me, do whatever you need to do, and we shall get this kicking. I also got my battledirector working, changed the codec I was compressing with, I got some good angles, and I am always downloading music ( I love theme music), so I promise a good video. Not to mention, as to each series, I will make an opening video, with each games theme song, make a little dialogue of the times, I need someone with a good voice (Dunno how you can determine that, lol), and a good mic, I would love to use mine, but I got no good mic :(.

Now to comment how the community doesn't need this. You think there is progress? My friend lived in Ireland less than a couple years ago, and there is absolutely no progress, there just aren't any riots. The IRA, INLA, ICV, etc etc etc are still around, and are never going to die, I can tell your Northern Irish. There will never be progress, I know this because my true native country is Slovakia, which is in 2 parts, well, Czechoslovakia is in two parts, so I know the diverse hearts of a nation. I am sorry, but there is no hope for Ireland or Slovakia. If the same country hated its own people of another place for over a hundred years, it is done. Your hope in your country is lovely, but it will never work, the Irish, or WE Irish are passionate people, so if two passionate people were to disagree, it could bring about wars.

Thank god, not everyone thinks like you. Otherwise we'd still be in the dark ages.
