Sandbox2142 Beta 2 Released

Sir. Elxx has released the second beta version today for his mod Sandbox2142. Here's what he had to say:

Make sure you delete any old Sandbox 2142 betas. This new version is based on the latest BF2:Sandbox core (0.4a) so all the features work just like BF2:Sandbox, except for loading/saving. And thanks to WoozleWazzle on the TBF2142 forums, I got a nice complete list of all the objects in 2142 - and you can now spawn all of them in Beta 2, so disregard the “y/x” column (sorry, Woozle). Just type "@s objectname" into the chat. All the vehicles should work too, except for the titans…that will be resolved later.

Just remember, this is still a BETA, so there's no convenient little buttons to spawn stuff yet - you'll be typing the command if you want anything beyond the few items available from the spotted menu. This is so you can figure out what you like for building so I can add it to the menu in the first final release :)

You know, guys, if you submit enough non-Sandbox pics that the admins like, they will be selected so you don't have to waste your effort whining like a little girl.

Why would you even care anyways? Aren't you too busy playing constantly so you can win more useless pixels? I'd love to see whether putting "^^Proud Owner Of The GOLD Collectors/Pistol/Explosives Badge^^" on your resume will win you a high-paying job.

first off all, the reason why the mods pick sandbox pics is because they are special. they are cool. and its what people submit. the mods have no choice!

2nd, whats so damn wrong with sandbox POTD's?? they are awsome! much better than the old regulare 2142.. "weee! blurry screen! its frigging LSD guys! haha!" (no offence ACE :P) SAndbox pics FTW!

AWSOME! except for one thing.. not your fault! but i cant play the damn thing! i can open it. see the menu and all. i log in. works fine. click multiplayer. still works. but when i click local the game closes and norton tells me some thing like “an atempt (how do you write that?) to attack your comp has newly been blocked”.. if this was in the normal game i could have just opened it again but in sandbox the hole game closes.. in bf2 it is ok since there are two buttons. “create local” and “join local”.. the thing about 2142 is that i have to go trough “join local” to get to “create”.. thats the problem! everytime i get to join local the game closes. and i cant do anything about it.. what ever i do norton will keep telling me how great they where and closed what i was doing. that says some about how ****ed up norton in! they might keep the viruses out, but everything else too. Oh and Dice. please make two buttons in 2142. :)

oh and a little edit number 2: i totally agree with Elxx with that on the end.. i wonder if you would get many girls if you told them you have the gold titan attack badge?

I'm new to sandbox. How do I start? I have it installed. I cant find a sever (do you need one?) and I cant go to single player. I know. I'm stupid. Just tell me where to go next, plz. Thanks

all i got was a zip file of it... how do i start it, is it like bf2 mods?

i extracted it to teh directy you said but when i try to choose it out of the game mode thingy whree you pick which version of bf2142 and mods things it doesnt show up

I hope this kind of statement isnt a true reflection of the Sir Community, I trust it isnt. If this guys got the badges why not boast about it hes obviously got them by working hard at it and after all thats part of the game isnt it ?

It's a bit of a trend though...most people who do the whole ranking thing and brag about it are the ones who refuse to play mods and instead just bash the mods and modders for no reason. I think we have a right to be ticked off about that. :hmm:

Trust me we all aren't like this but lately we been having a lot of negative comments with no reason behind them. I can understand everyones pain but for me mostly I keep it to my self. But I will guarantee that the Sir. Community is the best group of friends you shall ever have. 99.99...% of the time we are nice people with good things to say.

Aside from that time to start building my mega fort I've been planning for last few days.
