Booster pack has a less content and is not a full conversion.

As far as I remember from BF2:

Booster content can be used in normal map rotation, while Expansions requires a dedicated server without core content.

But I don't think there actually is a standard for what the names mean :)

Unfortunately at this moment we have no open positions due to overwhelming demand.

Please keep checking this page for further openings in the future.

If you followed the link right on their front page you would discover that they no longer accept new Beta members.

I don't think that the communication failure is on our side

Thats where your wrong, the boosters, like Armorers Fury for BF2 were different, while Special Forces was an Expansion, DICE is just changing the Boosters into the small versions, and expansions into the huge ones. So yeah.

I could very well be wrong, but I don't quite understand what you are saying?

Didn't the boosters run in normal rotation, and SF on a dedicated server?

Nah, SF added all those sweet guns and stuff.

But SF did have it's own gaming universe, it just added new unlocks for you to use both in SF servers, and the vanilla servers.

The boosters were it's own gaming universe, and that was it, no unlocks to use in vanilla.

You know, you can edit your own post, no need to post three times in a row:)

I remember the guns for SF was usable in the core, but what I was thinking of was this:

You could not have maps from SF and BF2 in the same rotation, if you wanted to switch you would have to leave the first game and start the other. They even had different shortcuts on the desktop.

The booster maps on the other hand could be mixed with regular maps on the servers. (Not quite sure about this part)

So apart from the size, that seems to be the main difference on boosters and expansions.
