Titan Attck 30+ ??

Anyone know the easiest way to get a score of 30 Titan Attack? I have been trying this for awhile now and seem to be unable to achieve this, has anyone here? How? Or was it just a thing of chance/luck?

Also can you combine the titan attack points you get from shooting the guns along the bottom of your enemy titan with titan attack points you get while inside the enemy titan?

My only advice would be to never use the vents. Crouch walk when entering the titan. Use assault and memorise the distance between the doors and the end of the corridor so you can pre set the PK74s before entering a corridor.

I tried for so long to get the award. It took me 35+ hours of playing after I was eligible to get it. You basically need a game where there are enough defenders to hold the assaulting team back, but not overwhelm them. The game needs the right amount of balance to make it last long. I would say try 32 - 48 person titan servers so there are at least enough people on the titan to defend it. Just play your best and it will come.

I got my bronce, silver and gold Titan attack in one round yesterday. Pure luck that I managed a lot of kills with granades before the Titan core was exposed. After then I used the sentry gun and seriously unpleasant amounts of granade spamming into the core area.

I wasn't even trying to get the awards, it was just pure luck and coincidents that I got it.

well i score an average of 160 points a round and most on enemy or friendly titan. i got both awards both on my first try for each. i dont know i had not trouble cause i actually was thinking it should be like 40 or 50 cause 30 is REAL low

Camp the enemy Titan roof and hope they move the Titan in defense position, as in withdrawn from the battlefield and stuffed in a corner. Prevents teammates from having an endless pod trip and enemies flooding the roof and camp it. You can also see and hear the enemy when they are twist-ejecting to their Titan and you can kill them when they land and are confused.

Are you sure about this? I think I got mine with less than 30 kills. I got the 8 pts for destroying the guns b4 jumping on the titan.

This award is very situational as you need a very balanced team to be able to get in the 30 kills on a titan, i managed to receive mine last week and it was purely by me owning with my voss and i had even come in late through the titan attack to manage to obtain it.

It requires 3 things:

1)Voss
2) PK Rockets - you must get about 10-15 kills with this to be in for a very good chance.
3) A well balanced game


It has taken me 100 hours of playing in titan to get this award so it isnt a matter of skill really.

I agree that its not skill that will get me this award, I believe it is merely a combination of situation/luck and oppurtunities not being missed but I was courious as to see how others were going about getting this award and if there were better situations than others to try and get this with.

I wouldn't say it's luck so much, as knowing WHEN to go for it. I actually got mine probably the first time I actually decided to try for it (and I am not a great player... but I do manage to always do better at offense which nobody else understands). You have to know the conditions in the round are perfect.

Large teams, balanced game, enemy shields down first, and Titans parked side by side. (These are also good conditions for the Gold Defense badge, except your shields go down first obviously). Usually you can do a lot of killing on the rooftop, but in this round nobody was up there so I had to go inside. I was tearing it up, throwing grenades down hallways and taking out 2-3 people each time. If they have the front of the hallway mined/RDXed, toss your own RDX on top and clear it all away. Then dart in and toss nades. I actually only had about 23 kills when we got to the last console (I cleared the hallway again, 3 guys), and part of me wanted to NOT blow the console, so I'd have time to get more kills (the core was very low already from silos). But I did the good teammate thing to do and blew the console. Then I managed to get 7 more kills somehow, very lucky that they managed to defend the core room that long. The last one, I ran into 3 guys outside the core room and my gun accidentally switched to single fire (I HATE this). I knew if I tried to switch back I'd be dead, so I just tap-tap-tapped into one guy's head and managed to drop him.. GOLD! I got a few more kills then before the core blew. In the end I had 37 kills (35 were on the Titan, I was goofing off on the ground using pistol only before shields down), more than anyone on either team. I think I had 25 deaths.

To keep track, see what you have when the shields go down, and then do ALL your killing on the enemy Titan only. This is easy to accomplish if they are parked side by side and you pod over straight from your bay every time. I knew I needed 32 total since I had 2 when I first boarded enemy Titan.

Do not bother trying for this badge if the conditions aren't right. You need a long game and easy access to kills and deaths. For some reason on some servers, the core seems to go down very slowly by missile damage, maybe I am imagining it, but sometimes I just know the round will last forever. I've done 30+ kills probably a dozen times when the conditions are right, and even 40+ more than once. And again I'm not a great player, my overall K/D is 1.10 and my SPM is 1.30. But I LOVE attacking and do it every chance I get. Predictable defenders are VERY easy to kill, even if you don't get the consoles (which you often will).

Don't be afraid to die. Rush the enemy, but intelligently. If your kill and death rate both go up, you are doing it right.

I find Recon is the best class for both Off/Def badges. Mines will net you bonus kills, and RDX can remove explosive traps, giving you access to good grenade shots. My last 7 kills were all total luck, every time I rushed the core or the last console I just threw some random mines in the large area outside the core, and after I died the kills kept rolling in. I think I had about 50/50 APM/Lambert kills on that game.

As a bonus I got my meritorious unit service ribbon...

I swear this award is bugged. I didn't keep track in my last Titan game, but I was the only person on the enemy Titan and managed to get to the core room before they started setting up a huge defense. On the way, I killed at least 10 or so guys with the sentry gun guarding me while I destroyed the consoles.

At this point, I don't know what the enemy team was thinking, but I just got down to the base of the ramp that leads up to consoles 3 and 4 and started lobbing grenades into the core room and the two side hallways, and along with my sentry gun, was raking in massive kills. I ended the game with around 108 total points before awards, and 60 teamwork points (50 kills). I wasn't really keeping track, but man it felt like I had gotten more than enough for the Titan Attack Gold. =[ It'll be a looong time before I can replicate this kind of success on a Titan.

Go support or recon. Watch people's backs also, enemy likes to flank around, you can rack up kills. Do the thing people hate most if you are really having trouble, throw APMs everywhere. I did it fine with the support kit. Big servers help too, lots of people to kill. You can also at this time get a bunch of ammo points.

I didn't really have any trouble getting this award, I seemed to get a point for every kill, and I can usually rack up 30+ kills pretty easily on a big titan server.

Can anybody else verify this? I've never heard that, and it doesn't sound right to me. I'm pretty sure I've seen my APM kill 2 people, and get 2 attack (or defense, more often) scores for it. Same with grenades.

I also got my gold badges at EXACTLY 30 kills, and I know there were multiple kills on the way there...

Ive just got it today, dam i was sweating dude, the game was perfect, my team didnt blow up the consoles, i was killing everthing inside the enemy titan, that game was like forever lasting, till i get my BADGE!! yeahhh!! by far this is the hardest to get IMO.... you guys that need it...keep it up, a nice balanced game and youll get it!!! play on suez canal, the titan missles are extremely buggy. Often they will miss the titan completely. I got my titan defence gold because of this, and also two silos had stopped firing completely. As long as both sides have a good defence you should be fine.

Also on Verdun, the titans start low enough to the ground that kills made under the titan will give you attack/defend points. (At least for the PAC one)

I actually got this one about 30 mins ago, with a combination of apm's and nades. the apms would keep em at bay when they started rushing cargo bay and tyring to come behind, and the nades were what got mostof the kills (21 to be exact) just throwing them down corridors and into the ocre and every which way.

this isn't the "easiest" way but it's what worked for me

I did it by going support and sitting on the mid-top deck of the titan watching for folks to pod in. Only works if the titans are in good podding distance (i.e. lots of traffic)

best way is to use the RK74 rockets from the vents, especially the little window at the end, preset the distance i think its around 35-40 feet or so. Then just fire off those rockets into the core room. that will get you 10-15 kills with a bit of luck. They have a good splash damage effect to get those hiding behind the glass with their rdx triggers. Helps to have a support guy with an ammo crate as well.

Go try and see. I know. I have gotten way over 50 kills a few times on the titan. But most of my kills were multiples with pk rockets, apm's, nades and rdx.

My best advice is to hunt the hunters.

During any Titan attack, the defending team always has players who try and flank the attackers by podding out onto the back and coming in behind the guys trying to blow the consoles.

Your best bet is to grab Support, Recon (with Lambert), or Medic and spend your time intercepting their interceptors. I recommend setting up in one of the vents that overlook your team's position. Use APMs or a sentry gun to watch the vent, and spend the rest of your time on overwatch of the cargo bay. But don't get too comfy.

The big component that I remember from my badge round was that I was moving a lot. 30 kills is a lot, and you have to increase your chances of getting there by being on the move. The sooner you find baddies, the sooner they die.

And remember where the bad guys filter in most often - the vents and the 3 and 4 console doors.

Basically your job is to get onto the Titan but ignore console destruction - act like it's Conquest.

I know I got mine using the titan guns also, started out the round taking the guns, out for my 8 points, than hung out on the roof for a while and popped up the guys podding up there to get in position in the vents, than I attacked hallways for a while, really didn't take long. Just find a server with a good team that attacks the titan heavily, a lot of people think that will make it harder for you to get yours, but its not, it will force their team into a defensive stance, than just put yourself in the right position to wipe em out.

Sorry, but you're wrong, and Deesies is right. You miscounted your kills on the Titan. The way to test is to check your total "Titan Attack Score" in BFHQ or EA's website stats page. Then get on a server and blow the guns, but never never go kill anyone on the enemy Titan. Then go check your stats again and the Titan Attack Score will be unchanged. Then test it again but do the opposite (don't blow guns, go kill people), and you'll see the Titan Attack Score go up. What makes this confusing is that DICE seemed to have swapped the messages you get at the bottom of the screen - when you blow a gun it says "Titan Attack Score" but when you kill someone it says "Titan Attack Bonus". IMO it would have been clearer were it the opposite.

The good news is, if you got the Gold, you're even better on the Titan than you thought, having killed 30+ rather than the 22+ you think you killed. Congrats!

Me, I'm still waiting for the right opportunity for those two Golds, though I'm playing more Conquest lately so I might be out of practice once I get there!

EDIT: One caveat to this might be if they changed it in 1.10 (but it wasn't in the changelog). The testing I did was before that, so if they changed what counts for this badge I'll have to have another go at it.

I got mine today, after many days of trying and failing. Got 29 at least twice... Nearly smashed my monitor into pieces when the titan exploded leaving me unsatisfied lol.

Anyway, my tips for success:

1) Go on as high a populated titan server as possible (64 if you can handle it, 48 will do though)

2) Silo hop like crazy to make sure their shields go down as quick as possible.

3) Hope to god neither team has a larger share of the asshats.

4) When their shields are at 25%, find an APC (or transporter if you can fly) and prepare to board.

5) Preferably the titans arent podding close, as you dont want loads of teammates stealing your kills, plus it'll only increase the lag.

6) As soon as the shields are down - get right on top of the titan. Now, youve got 3 external levels - lower cargo bay, upper cargo bay (with the vents) and the roof.

7) On the roof, with the anti-air guns, are two chimneys in the middle. You want to land in the one closest to the back of the ship (where you can board the ship - not the shielded hangar bay).

8) You want to be a squad leader, with at least one squaddie, so you can stick your Beacon in this chimney. I recommend starting as Recon with APM's and RDX (if FF is off) or Camo (if FF is on). If theres no immediate opposition, head down a vent stealthily, check anywhere for defenders, and pop a console. If you pop 1, grab 3 (against normal attack rules, I know).

9) What you want to create is a position where the enemy can hold a strong defence with as minimal people as possible in the hall. If you neutralise consoles 1 + 3 early on, and theres at least 3 competent defenders on the titan, they will hold console 2 against hell and high water. This, for you, is perfect.

10) If you like grenades, grenade that corridor. But I recommend getting back onto the roof, with any luck they'll be fighting on the exterior now, as they have the interior locked down. This is where APM's own.

11) Once the battle is in the mid-game, and you have 10-15 titan kills, time to start thinking about support or assault. Either stick the sentry gun against the reactor door, overlooking the inner upper floor, or get rockets and blow campers to shreds.

It is a very hard badge to get, but I recommend hitting the roof initially, then the cargo bay and vents, then finally the corridors and reactor room for the final 10 kills.

On the right server, with a little luck (and a lot of energon), you'll get your gold badge :)

Here is a tip everyone seems to be missing (at least it worked for me for my silver, so if it is situational I apologize), I found that if you get a kill directly under the titan it counts as a titan attack score, even before the shields go down….. (though I was base raping on Verdun so give it a name……I know bad LG, bad LG….please forgive my transgression but there was nothing left to cap at the time, the other team just sucked)
