Battlefield Maintenance Times

Greetings Solider's,

We're all well aware of the weekly Monday night/Tuesday morning scheduled maintenance periods. But did you know there's an Emergency Maintenance Window on Wensday night/Thursday morning too? I didn't know there was one until I seen EA's updated support website.

What are the maintenance times for Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2 Modern Combat, and Battlefield 2142? Why can't I connect or properly access Battlefield services during these times?



The Battlefield franchise has many moving parts, and at times needs to be re-synched, updated, or restarted to make sure that errors and issues with the service are avoided or repaired. Electronic Arts reserves the times listed below to perform maintenance on Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2 Modern Combat, and Battlefield 2142.


Standard Maintenance Window
Tuesday:
12 a.m. - 3 a.m. Pacific Time
1 a.m. - 4 a.m. Mountain Time
2 a.m. - 5 a.m. Central Time
3 a.m. - 6 a.m. Eastern Time


Emergency Maintenance Window
Thursday:
12 a.m. - 3 a.m. Pacific Time
1 a.m. - 4 a.m. Mountain Time
2 a.m. - 5 a.m. Central Time
3 a.m. - 6 a.m. Eastern Time


Although the maintenance windows are not necessarily used every week, if you cannot connect or have issues with authentication, statistics, buddy lists, servers, etc. during these times, it is likely due to some form of maintenance and you should try again after the maintenance period is over.

Yes, I have gained points steadily the last 3 days, in fact I think my demotion from First Lieutenant to Second Lieutenant happened in that period (nice research DICE :rolleyes: )

But I have played exclusively on 1.20 Beta servers in that period, I don't know if that matters.

I decided to give the 1.2 beta patch a pass this time 'round.
I'm currently sitting at 10559 of 9300 required for my next rank. No, I didn't get it backwards... I'm more than a thousand points over my rank and have been there for about 3 days. I've also scored a couple badges and pins that haven't shown up.

Awesome, so it isn't just me! I've played at least an hour or so every day for the last couple weeks, but BFHQ is showing my last game played at 2/1/07. Thing is, in-game I earn badges and pins and it gives me the points for them but it doesn't show them in BFHQ. I ranked up once with no problem, chose the unlock, and my career points are working as normal, but none of the actual stats or awards themselves are showing up. Problem is I could easily exploit this by continually getting my silver pistol badge each round since I have the global requirements and 7 pistol kills IAR is nothing, but that would be against my morals. :hmm:

At least now I know it's not just me. :p Still, would like to see a gold badge next to my name someday but since I can't get any time requirements met I guess it'll be a while before that happens.

Ok, I'm not in a panic, but I am annoyed. I've lost two unlocks, anyone care to mention where they've gone?

They were NS unlocks (I've pre-ordered the game) that were made available in 1.20 patch. I didn't take part in the NS beta and unlocked 2 pieces of NS equipment with regular, earned by promotion unlocks.

Anyone know if I'll get the unlocks, or the unlock points back? I guess it too late to cancel NS now if things don't work out.

Hi, just 2 minutes ago, I was having one of the best rounds ever. I knifed a few of my rivals and was racking up a lot of kills. As I was just about to go for my 21st knife, the game freezes and I get booted back to the login screen and I say to myself "Oh **** maintenance!".

So does anyone know if my stats from that round will get updated or are they lost forever?

I last updated these stats last night at around 11:24pm. Since then, I haven't played since this afternoon. Today I've only had one round which was cut short due to maintenance. Checking my stats from the EA site:

It says I've got 2699 opposed to the 2677 which was recorded on 2142tracker.

Which means the 22 or so knifes I had this afternoon WAS recorded after all. :cool:

I was in a game playing left rebooted and tried booting up and I can login but it shows mw as a recruit I think either its because of maitnenance or I was whiped, allthough I have NEVER done anything to deserve one I just hope its the whole maintancance thing considering its 2:30AM CST.

I guess this is why I can't get on any Australian Servers without losing the connection and the Master Server is not responding half the time. Phew! I thought this new 30Mbps cable connection was messed up.
