DICE - Please help and respond

I hope I'm not violating the intention of these boards badly at all but this is the only forum that I know DICE members to visit. This will probably be my last attempt to regain my stats from them being reset by EAs wrong assumptions. You DICE guys know me. You know I won the DICE Dogtag Challenge and that there is no way to have stat padded to win the challenge. I'm pretty sure you guys are in close touch with the part of EA that deals with the stats. Alot of people know me to be legit but the EA guys seem to think differently and they haven't even ever played with me! They assumed by looking at my knife stats that I was a padder so they reset my stats. Please, I beg you moderators to not delete this thread until I get some replies because this is probably my last chance to get my original stats back.

I had worked hard and legitimately for all the knife kills that I got. One major factor of me buying this game is because of the stats system and the knife/dogtag aspect of it. I planned on using the knife as a primary weapon just for the fun and challenge of it. Being that that was a major reason for me purchasing this product I think it is wrong that EA diminished the value of my product by doing this reset. I paid $50.00 for this and it is almost as if EA is stealing from me.

I could really use your help, DICE, to get this all straightened out. I really hope you guys do care about even one ripped off customer. I know I can't prove to you guys that I didn't stat pad but I know myself that I didn't. The thing is that EA reset me for playing legitimately and with no proof that I stat padded. They reset me all based off of assumptions. Also think about this. If I really stat padded and knew I did would I have dragged this on for one whole month? I don't think a single person would. If I get support from you guys I will greatly appreciate it. If you could even go as far as to posting this issue in a community update that'd be great even though it sounds crazy. That would be if you guys don't have much of a connection to EA just so that they'd see what's going on through the community update themselves. Please show me that you guys at least care. Thank You guys!

You know Tim, I think the reason that they keep getting closed are that you keep posting the same topic.

To be constructive:

Have you considered opening a new support ticket where you do not mention the old one at all?
Take care to explain how it is possible to have the low unique ratio and high K/D ratio.

I know from experience that if you ask two EA CSR you get three contradicting answers.

As for the theft of your 50$, consider how many hours you have spent on this game. I think you will have got your moneys worth.

Thanks, if I will try that if I get nothing useful out of this thread. You're right that may be the reason I keep getting the same thing from each of them because of what you said, mentioning the old CS tickets I had going.

Well, I wouldn't have gotten my money's worth if my intention for the use of the game was to do my best at getting knife kills and seeing them all stat tracked. That's kind of like buying a tool to use it in a special way that you want rather than and original way like people would expect you to and then not being able to use it for the reason you bought it.

Don't expect too much, tho. It's unlikely that your stats can be restored. They are very likely deleted and it's highly possible that there is no way to manually "correct" stats. That might sound strange, but the stats server is a big nasty database. I don't know if you've ever worked with large dynamic databases before, but they are NOT easy things to deal with.

Also remember that EA pays Dice. They write their paychecks. It's not too likely that Dice would be able to force the issue... even if they like ya a lot.

I was thinking that too, it is very likely that a reset is just that, a reset of the actual record in the database. Even if they wanted too I doubt they would be able to restore a backup of a single record.

Has anybody ever had their stats restored?

Ea states this on their supportpage:
Please note there is no appeal process once an account is reset.

If it was me that had been treated that way, I think I would find another game and never buy anything from EA again.

Of course that would also be my recommendation if you are a stat padder, I cant really know. But I haven't seen anything that proves it.

I've been following this episode for a while now and I have yet to see any incriminating evidence with my own eyes.

If anyone can link me to something, then please do. If not, then I think I'm going to have to support Tim, on account of not being a big fan of EA.

Alright - I've been lurking around this topic long enough, here is my advice:

I agree that you're not going to get any real results from pleading your case on this forum. Why not publicly call EA out on the web? Get a site (cheap) from some hosting service, set up a site dedicated to getting your stats reset - garner some support from folks on this forum (hits, etc.) do some advertisements anywhere you can, make a whole "Reset Tim's Stats" movement out of it vis-a-vis "Free {fill in the blank}" campaign.

In addition, issue a public challenge to DICE to a knifing tournament. Similar to the dog-tag challenge, but just between you and them. Make some challenge that if after x rounds you've scored y number of knife kills they owe you your stats. Of course, they can use all weapons, etc and you'll need to assemble some other teammates to make it practical and accurate to "normal" gaming scenarios. Hell, I'll be on your team if the server is close enough to me!

You obviously feel strongly about this so put your efforts to good use!

It is really sad what has happened to this guy. At the same time there would be no need to police the game like this if there were no stats.

Another reason stats have ruined the game.
