WTF 33 Titan Attack Points, no Gold Badge!!!

I love and hate this game. Yesterday I hopped in a server to show a friend some new toys and I made an off comment about how this being a perfect senario for getting my Titan Attack Gold, so I get into it. At 29 Titan Attack point it switches me sides, I think no big (I curse at the screen), other Titans shield are down to, I get 4 more Titan Attack points and nothing happend...I curse at my screen as the Titan blows up and I didn't get a Titan Survival after I bailed out...WTF!!! So many friggen bugs, it drives me up the wall sometimes.

You werent including destroying any titan guns were you? If not, that sucks... Sorry for ya man

Think that this means 30 titan attack points...each time you kill someone into the titan you only get 1 titan attack point + 1 normal point for a kill....so you have to kill 30+ players into the titan.

I have yet to get the Titan Survival pin. I'm baffled on that one.

i actually encountered the same problem, I got the titan attack badge last night (was stoked about it with how hard it is to get and all) but I got it with just straight out nading/apm spam on their titan, the badge popped up on my screen, i got the points for it at the end of the game.... but today.. in my badges list... still says silver.

mayhaps ea is just really slow on this one? or am i getting jipped?

get the titan survival pin by
a. being on the enemy titan when it starts to blow up
and
b. jumping off the exploding titan and landing on the ground *wait to parachute till the last minute*

Easy to get. How I got it:

Saw the enemy Titan was about to be destroyed. Got in an APC and podded up to the rear deck of the enemy Titan. Laid prone in a corner for a few minutes. Saw "Enemy Titan Hull Destroyed" message. Jumped off, fell a while, parachute, hit the ground, award on contact with the dirt.

One addition I found (though I don't have the gold either), before the titan shields go down if you get a kill directly under the titan it counts as a titan attach score....don't know why but I know it does from personal experience. Thought that might help a little in your quest for glory.

I joint into the game when both Titan Shield were about to drop with 0 Team score, I kept trak of my Titan Attack via the Team Score since I know about the bug of killing multiple people and only getting 1 Titan Attack. I Took out no guns and I'm guessing I would of gotten it if I hadn't been switched teams. Other unusuall thing that happend that round were, I got f-ing switched at 29 (to the winning side no less), I didn't get a Titan survival even though I was in the enemy Titan when it blew and made it to the ground with time to kill and even though in game it only told me I recieved only 1 Explosives E. Pin, at the end it said I got 2 (first time, I have ever recieved 2 in on round even though I've gotten over 30 kills with explosives before).

Were you in a Squad because that is the best way to not get team switched.

I know that when I was going for my gold Assault, even if I had played a round and got the required number of kills in a round, it wouldn't count. For example, I had several 30+ kill assault rounds, but I had to wait until I had the required number of hours before the game would recognize it. After I hit fifty hours with assault I had a 30+ kill round and got my badge. I'm not sure if it's supposed to work like this or if it's yet another bug in 2142, but that's how it works for me. Are you sure you have the required hours?

I am sure switching teams is what screwed you, I hate that personally. I refuse to play on servers that have auto-balance on.

When I got mine I was afraid to do anything. I wanted to take a screenie of it but I have ctd'd way to many times doing that. I also had the **** scared outta me because 30 secs after I got it "you are having problems with your connection" pops up. I got it ok though. For this badge you really need FF - off and Autobalance - off

I had the problem with your connection message, too, after I got my attack gold. It was just the end of the round lag though.

Whenever you kill someone that's standing directly under a titan's belly guns it counts the same as if they were standing on the titan. It's same as people in belly guns can capture enemy flags while in the guns.

...look at my rank, do you think I have the hours, lol. I have around 92, I believe in Titan mode alone.

The Gold Titan Destruct was a b**** to get, there was a guy in my squad on VOIP (5 year old, and in a clan I shall not mention there name cause I like there server otherwise) and I ask very nicely to not blow the core, just set the charges, but he kept ignoring me and got the core to about 3-5%. If he wasn't wining about orders or resupply, he was jumping infront of my gun or jumping at the core when I would call out clear the core area over both TS and VOIP. I ended the round with -7 teamscore, but I was to happy about the badge to really care.

I hear ya, My titan dest gold was easy for me, I didnt even know I had the pre-req's yet. I was just on a small server that wasnt full and no one was defending the titan. Was extremely surprised and happy when that badge popped up.

Whenever you kill someone that's standing directly under a titan's belly guns it counts the same as if they were standing on the titan. It's same as people in belly guns can capture enemy flags while in the guns.

An enemy has to be within a sphere surrounding the Titan for this to work (it works for Titan Defense as well). In my experience this only works on Verdun, and only when the Titan hasn't moved from its starting spot. Verdun is a big valley with the Titans on the upper slopes so they start out just meters above the ground and as they move towards the middle their altitude relative to the ground increases.

The "sphere of influence" extends also to aircraft - if you can kill an enemy aircraft close to your or his Titan, you'll get Titan Defense/Attack scores, even if the shields aren't down yet.

Personally i do not want it because when you reach brigadier all that matters is medal's, Its not about XP, Its about patience.

So dont really fret but if you want it i suggest RDX + Camping an EU hangar (They're titan has a weakness to it =D) As well as rocketing corridors (Remember the distance it takes to explode and you WIN.

I was squad leader and got team switched by auto balance.

Really ? I remember reading in an earlier thread that creating a squad prevents that, but I wasn't sure if simply being squad member did the job. Great!

Teamswitched while in a squad is one of the more annoying things about this game, especially if you just manage to get all your clan mates together in one squad.
