View Full Version : Wow, does EA NOT want my cash?

On the Billing Info on EA Link for Northern Strike, I put in all my information. I hit 'Continue' and I expect some sort of order confirmation thing, but instead it greets me with the same Billing Info page. I guess EA would rather not make money? What a surprising new leaf for them!!

when i paid, it also said the order didnt go through, but it actually does. make sure you dont get charged twice, or more!!

Nah, if it did I'd just file a claim with Visa =)
It doesn't seem like it charged, as I actually got to the last step on my other EA account but then it said "LOL NO 2142 ON THIS ACCOUNT".
edit: So I logged in to the account I use on 2142.

Massive props to you for owning up to that. Almost everybody else would make everyone feel all sketched out about EA link.

Sam thing has happened to me? How do i resolve this and find out if i have actually ordered it? I clicked continue twice and i dont want the booster pack twice.
What was this about the card expiration date?

I just used the paypal option,much easier if you have a paypal account of course.

Does the booster pack show up in 'My Games' on the EA Link/Downloader as pre ordered?

The card expiration date? It's on your credit card. Here's the layout on mine
WACHOVIA LOGO | CARD BRAND LOGO
empty space, sometimes a photo | THAT HOLOGRAPHIC EAGLE THING
CARD NUMBER
EXPIRATION DATE | CARD COMPANY SYMBOL AND CARD COMPANY LOGO
CARD HOLDER NAME
The expiration date is in Month/Year format, so for instance 04/09 (that's not my expiration btw ;) )
edit: Unless you got an email from EA confirming your order, you have not been charged on your card ;)

i have the BETA in my games but not the game itself, what does it say?

Clear your cache in Firefox and Internet Explorer. That MIGHT work.

So i clicked continue twice martin and have not got the NS booster pack in my games, so does this mean i have to try again?

That'd be your best bet. Again, if you didn't get an e-mail from EA confirming your order, you HAVE NOT been charged.
If that doesn't work, just uninstall then reinstall EA Link.

Yup, reinstalled a few times. No luck.

Yeah... no problem. It baffles me how of all the things to not code well, it'd be the program that is a portal for their income. Silly EA...

Ive been having the same problem with ealink,
get the session timed out message. Cleared my cache as suggested,
but no joy. Any other suggestions..?
I tried one last time this morning and it suddenly just worked without a problem, i've pre-ordered now successfully. I didn't even try to clear my cache because when it was suggested to me i'd literally only just installed my OS and browsers less then 24 hours earlier.
The only thing i can think of was different from the time it didn't work and the time it did was me upgrading from IE 6 to IE 7, which i highly doubt fixed it... but I just assumed it was a problem on their end and that they'd fixed it. Its probably no help but if anything its a sign of hope for your game yet :p

Wow , it actually worked this time.
I had to open IE 7 ( i usually use firefox) for the transaction with EAlink to work. Strange...? thanks for the help fellas:)

I was having the same problem, I logged out of EA link, and logged back in, and managed to get past the "session expired" error.

I actually fixed my problem if ya check a few posts down on the 2nd page :p
Thanks for the advice though, I was worried I was going to have to try and ask EA for help... that could have taken weeks lol.
