In vanilla its either black camo, or light grey with orange shoulder. I noticed in the two trailers that there are no noticible differences in the camo. Is it just me? Is it just the way the trailer was shot?

the design of all the armour, helmet and backpack stay the same as the original game, ther just both snow colored now

still prety easy to tell them apart

I suppose its more realistic for everyone to have snow colored camo now. Having jet black clothes in an ice age future is kind of silly.

Still the first thing I tell myself when I drop in a server is Kill the guys in White, or Kill the guys in Black. Once battle lines are drawn I can pick out who's who based on their position on the map but when I first drop in I'm going purely on uniform color.

Looking at the trailer I think it will be harder to tell ppl apart but there will still be differences in the uniforms, we'll just have to get used to what makes them different in NS beyond color alone.

I noticed that too. Like in plain BF 2142 in maps like Verdun with lots of snow th PAC is so easy to see.:p

I played the Beta and they are not as hard to distinguish as the video makes it look like.

From the vids I've seen, though, seems like EU is now the 'dark' colors and PAC are wearing the 'light' colors. Little role reversal but still distinguished.

No troubles seeing and shooting the enemy from my perspective either.

Ok, so here's my question, and it may be stupid so flame away if it is. But cant the programmers make the opposite team always have the same color uniforms? I mean, we always see that the opposite team has red names. why not make the bad guys always wear black?

That completely defeats the point of the game- eg. two different factions with their own unique aspects. Just learn to read the little red tags above the enemies' names.

For bf2142 I learned by saying the Fruits wear white uniforms with some grey and black spots, the Vegtables wear black uniforms with some white spots. (Their uniform looks just so much more snazzy imo)

Lets see what I have to do in NS now.
