What's the difference between global and career pts?

I never could figure this out, but never really took the time to read up on it.

Career points = global points + points from awards (badges and pins) + away points (I believe).

Okay simply put global points are the points you get for in game actions, e.g. a kill, capping a CP, giving ammo, healing etc.
Carrer points are things like squad leader success points, titan defense points (killing an enmy on your own titan), titan attack points (killing an enemy on their own titan), you also get career points for certain awards.
Career points are what count towards your ranking.
