View Full Version : Some of the dumbest things about the game?

I think the dumbest, most aggravating thing about the game is the indestructible trees and light posts. I mean, really, you just bump one and you explode? How 'bout a little vehicle damage or something more realistic, or maybe the aircraft falls to the ground and you have a little time to get out before it blows up? Right now they explode if they hit a tumbleweed!

Well, to be fair, most aircraft won't survive a collision, no matter how light, with a ground object, although the death anim looks so stupid that it perhaps is what irritates me. The lampposts annoy me far more than any other shrub, as they are so thin you can't see them until you go bam. How about sentries tracking through corridors so I cant even get through all the other idiots defending? Once my squad was all support, and we all just layed 6 sentries, and left to cap silos. The console remained intact throughout the entire game with only one of us staying behind(me) to defend. I barely opened fire even, and I never needed to.

People who complain.

But seriously, it would be great to have fully-destructible environments in video game FPS's, but that's still a little ways off.

Imagine what the game would be like if so:

You'd have tons of little idiots running around blowing up buildings and plowing holes into the ground instead of doing what they're supposed to be doing.

when 80% of your teammates don't stop to heal/revive you, even if your team is mostly composed of assault. :hmm:

Getting stuck on little rims in the ground. Or low ceilings. Honestly, they should make it so your soldier's movement adapts to its surroundings. If you're standing, but need to get through a small opening, it should adjust, not to a full crouch, but to a half crouch. You'd still have the option of manually crouching and proning, but I hate getting stuck in things that I would, normally, just tilt my head a bit to get by.

And all the aforementioned things (especially sentry guns through Titan walls).
