Today I was playing and I was stranded out in the middle on nowhere in Shuhia Taiba. Thankfully a teammate driving the buggy came into view but he pushed down on the accelerator running me over. I of course punished him but it turns out he was busy busy using the commo rose trying to spot the gunship. He was even nice enough to jump out and defib me. I, feeling bad wanted so very much to forgive him and change my decision.
Anything similar happen to you guys, and what do you guys think about having the ability to change your decision?

I tend to forgive pretty much all of the time - it's of no benefit for me to punish and I just smile to myself each time when that person is of course expecting to be punished.
The only time I punish is when its blatant and horrible stupidity, or intentional.
I also tend to give it 10s before i choose, as i might just get res'ed and so forgive is a must!

True what frazle said. I also just punish when someone is directly shooting at me and doesnt stop until I am dead. Yet, yesterday I was in a similar situation like Key-Man, I was Tkilled and punished the Tkiller. Seconds later the Tkiller came by and revived me, said sorry. I said right-o, and wished I could have changed the punish to a forgive.

I always forgive, but I am noticing that I rarely get TKed these days.

I'm almost always a medic so there is always a defib in my pack, so when I get teamkilled i just let it time out and auto-punish. If someone is smart enough to switch kits and rez me then I will forgive them.
I may also forgive someone if I did something blindingly stupid, like run infront of their speeding car.

If I want to forgive, I don't press anything (auto forgive after like 13 seconds). I rarely punish, I get revenge.

If you had hold down the E button, you wouldn't have to punish or forgive......
