Titan destructor badge silver. What am i doing wrong?

Titan destructor badge silver requires 10 global console kills and 1 core kill in a round. I started a round with 16 blown consoles and destroyed the core but no badge. I checked my stats and the blown core was added to my stats. Is there a known issue or is this just a fluke?

I don't know. I got my silver the other day. I also got all four console along with the core, but it says it doesn't require the consoles (just 10 total) for silver.

Bad luck, I guess. I had the same situation with mine, and I got it without problem. It's possible that someone else dropped a Pilum or Mitchell/Sudnik round into at the same time you blew it, and ended up getting the credit. Try again, and see what happens. I find that it's really a best-of-luck situation when it comes to the Titan core. I've had a really good round and placed 5 RDX packs on the core only to be TK'd by my teammate doing the same thing. It blows, but there's not much you can do except try again. Good luck next time, hope you get it.

You don't want the silver badge, because that just means you then have to go for the Gold, which is 3 consoles and 1 core destroyed IN A SINGLE ROUND!!! I fluked into it last week, and I never want to do it again (and I never have to :D )

Hey man, the silver is 500 points just sitting there waiting for a single solitary Titan core. Gold might never happen (especially for me :D ) but the silver is definitely worth trying for.

I don't remember if that's indeed been fixed in either patch 1.06 or 1.10, but all you needed to do initially, was to destroy the last remaining console and that was considered the core. Have you tried that? I know I got mine that way. I might be wrong though. However, consider Sherlock Holmes words: "If you eliminate the impossible, what remains, how improbable it may be, must be the truth" ;)

Same thing happened to me in 1.10. I had 13 consoles destroyed and got a core but died getting it. The core was added to my stats but no badge. Next day I got another core but lived this time and I got the badge.

Today, I was lucky enough to destroy all four consoles in 3 different rounds, but all of those rounds I've never been the one to finish off the core, I hate the gold titan destruction badge and I'm never going to try for it again. My K/D ratio suffered so much with me constantly running into APM's and Sentries.

Yeah. It's the kind of "pisses-me-off" badge to get :p Ironically, it was the first gold badge I got and I was in the zone that night, but I wouldn't want to go at it again. As it it, I find the titan combat excellence gold frustrating enough, and I'm not even sure I'll ever get it :|:

Alright, thanks for the input guys. Sounds like these things just happen from time to time so I guess ill just keep trying to blow up cores til I get it. Its 500pts just sitting there that shouldn't be to hard to get. The gold sounds very hard so I probably wont try for that one.

You have to be alive when you blow the core, if you respawn after you have blown it you may get it, otherwise, its a no no.
