I searched the forum for this but didnt really find a thtead about it.

im at the point where i need 30 spawns for the golden badge, and after a few tries i still dont have it.

by just staying near it i swear to go i have about 20 b4 the shields are down, and i find it very hard to believe that when its on the titan that less then 10 ppl spawn there. my question, is it bugged?

do u guys have any tips which may get me more spawns faster or easier? so far ive been trying on 32 ppl titan maps, dont know if ppl will use beacons on conquest maps..

People will spawn on it on conquest as long as it is a good placement. I got mine a long time ago without even trying on Cerebre, but I'm sure I would have gotten it again last night on Gibraltar. I'll place it close to whatever flag I have ordered my squad to attack and make sure that it is in a place where you won't pod down right into the enemy. Coming down behind a building, wall, whatever so that your guys don't come out of their pod in the middle of the fight. Then, once you take the flag pick it up and move it closer to whatever the next objective is. Some people say that you need a bad squad, ie: people that die quick, to get it but that really isn't the case. You just need a full 6 man squad. If your five squad members die 6 times in the round and spawn on your beacon you're set. I know not everyone will die 6 times but you'll have at least one or two that charge into the fray and die alot to help you.:)

I got mine by Conquest mode.

The best advice is to be aggressive in the placement of your beacon. Fill up your squad early in the game, and try to get behind enemy lines, and put the beacon a good distance away from the nearest friendly spawn, but fairly close to the enemy flag you have orders on. On top of some of the accessible roofs on Camp Gibralter can work very well, particularly some of the ones around Central Camp (just climb the ladder, put one down, and guard).

Tell your squad with text and VOIP if you use it that you have a beacon up near the flag.

Try to keep alive and keep an eye on the beacon (either physically, or by your map) and if it is destroyed, replace it promptly (if it was destroyed by an artillery strike, the same place would probably be fine, but if an enemy singled it out, it's time to move).

And finally, watch your squad members, and who is spawning on the beacon. If you have one or two who aren't spawning on your beacon, despite it's good placement, it's best to remove them from the squad and invite other people.

This medal is a pain though, particularly for good Squads. A good squad probably won't have 30 spawns on a beacon, just because a good squad will probably not be dying that much, and will be reviving much more. Them's the breaks.

I got mine with good placement on Titan roofs. If you get around where no has placed a transport on the enemy titan your beacon becomes the best way to get there. Place an order on the enemy Titan and your squad will gain more career points as they assault.

The "smoke stacks" are a good place on the Titan other than that I too got mine in Conquest. Got it on Fall of Berlin with about 20 people on a 64 map size, so needless to say it lasted awhile and was quite easy.

And from what I understand, your own spawns don't count. It has to be 30 teammate spawns.

That's correct. Just remember to keep moving your beacon to spots near the front lines. So often someone places a beacon and the fighting moves to another part of the map but they don't remember to move the beacon.

I got my gold back in November '06 on a loooong titan map with a good squad. Spent a good 10 minutes attacking a silo that sat under their titan with a beacon hidden off in the hills. (I think it was silo 1 on the SIdi power plant). I probably got about 15- 20 spawns here. We then moved to attacking the titan. I put my beacon on the roof near the AA turrets. Got the gold badge well b4 the end of the round.

but I think it would be harder to get on titan mode now. Titan defenders are less static than they used to be. They are much more likely to pod up to the roof of their own titan and clear up any beacons they find.
Commanders have also gotten more aggressive with titan placement by parking titans next to each other. This means people can pod from the titan in a maneuverable pod rather than use a spawn beacon that is easier for the enemy to camp.

For those reasons I would suggest a be PAC side conquest map like Gibraltar, Berlin or Cerbere where it is handy for PAC to spawn behind enemy lines. Be careful you don't put your beacon too close to the wall on Gibraltar- nothing will stop your guys spawning on the green dot faster than landing over the wall off the edge of the map!

If you are on Tunis Harbour map be EU and hide your beacon in the buildings south of the East Harbour spawnpoint. THat is a hard one for EU to hold for very long so you can keep your squad assaulting that point for a long time.

Try and choose a server that starts with low numbers on the server (so the round lasts longer). It helps to get a squad who are cooperative (ie more likely to spawn on the leader whether he was going for a badge or not).

Play a half full 64 conquest server and invite players to fill your squad. Place the beacon close to the flags you attack and stay close to guard it. Once the flag is capped shoot it away and move it forward.

Thats exactly how i got mine. I got a full squad and dumped my beacon on a hidden place on the enemy titan. As soon as the shields went down, i ordered my full squad to assault the titan and then said to them over voip to use the beacon as its in a good spot on the titan. A while before the end of the round i got the badge.

Try to put a beacon on roofs, your team will love to spawn there as they can snipe enemies.

Yeah but they're not likely to die often enough to rack up 30 spawns.

But the squad won't stay there forever, once they'll jump down, got killed and spawn again. And even if flag next to the beacon is already captured, they'll prefer roof spawn. On a big map with balanced teams (= long game) it's not a problem to get 30+ spawns.

Tell your squad if they do not spawn in on green dot, they will die a horrible horrible death.
