I got a PSP 2 days ago and already its loaded up with tracks and some movies.

It's a cute lil' thing!.

Games:

Socom Fire Team Bravo 1.

GTA Vice city stories.

I configured the internet for it, but its kinda slow on it.

what is every psp user's game?..

What accessories do you have?..

I own a NDS. PSP ain't my cup of tea i guess. Propably since most of my friends own DS-es too. I like to pawn them at school in mariokart, it's such a great game. I can watch movies/listen mp3's as well through my flashcard, gotta love it.

On the PSP side, only Loco Roco and Killzone:Liberation look worth it to me.

ive had it over a year now! i loooooove it! its such a usefull tool! you can:

Watch/Show pictures. (show to other)
Listen to music. yes Ipod is smaller. But PSP is bigger!
You can watch movies! either you have them on your memory stick or use UMD movies
You can play games. In the palm of your hand!
You can surf the web. No, its not fast, but its good if you are just checking some simple website for some info or such. You can also download pictures and music. movies too by the way.
You have lots of options!
Its all portable! it is GREAT for traveling and such!


Things you should get:

You should have a 1GB memory stick or more.
USB Cable! For god sake!
You should, i mean MUST have screen protection! its very good!
also i recomend a little bag to have your psp and maybe a game in. in your poket.

SSX: On tour. you should get it if you like winter and extreme sport
Socom: FTB. Nice game! online and stuff!
GTA: Vice city stories!!! MUSTHAVE!!!!! its better than Vice city on PS2, and its great!!! great im telling you!!!! GREAT! takes a lot of time to compleate too!

I've been a fan of the SSX series. I had them on PS2. might grab it for PSP.

I downloaded Quake for the PSP, from this homebrew site. I've installed it in the directories as it as told me.

When I launch it from games > memory stick = the result apears as corrupt file?..

1. Get the "Sony location free player" cheaper nowadays.


Then get a 400 disc Dvd player, then where ever in the world you can pick up a wireless contection you have access to all your movies ,
"All your local cable TV channels " with service of coarse.
great for local home games out of town too!

you use the Psp to control your Dvd player like a remote from Japan even!

Watch Tv any where in your Houseor in the yard if you have wireless at your home.

Connect the PSP to your PC via its USB cable and then if your PSP is at the latest patch there will be folders called "MUSIC" "VIDEO" move the music/videos into the right folders, the videos MUST be .mp4. :)

use an app called PSP video 9 thanks to slighkuis, its freeware & the conversion quality is awesome, it fits the video to the size of the screen, ie widescreen. it makes your vids look cool.

I put some of my own vids on my psp Too show my friends the type of games i play lol..:D

yeah & just jack it in via USB, it should detect it as a memory stick only.

Lumines has a firm place in my UMD slot, most of the time when I play PSP, it's for a quick bout of fun and Lumines is great for that. For longer trips, can't go wrong with Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories.

Also, you're using less than half of the PSP's potential if you don't have some homebrew action going! Downgrade yourself to 1.5 if you can, then grab the Dark_AleX custom firmware. Then you'll be able to run all sorts of things - I have mine set up to stream movies and TV shows wirelessly from my PC. Memory Stick space is no longer a limitation :D

PSP Updates (http://pspupdates.qj.net/) is a good place to start if you're looking to really get the most out of your PSP.

Yeah I've been thinking of downgrading my psp, but it looks risky?..

I downloaded quake and doom homebrew for my psp.

I've seen some pretty nifty videos on "howto" on youtube, showing it in "realtime".. So I'll just go back on that...

I also won a bid on a 4GB memory card :D can't wait for it to arrive.

I bought a PSP and Megaman Maverick Hunter X. Several months later, I still had not bought a single game for it. There's some good games out there now, but there are honestly only a handful. The DS, however, has dozens and dozens of great titles available. DS ftw.

But about the downgrading, sounds risky. but fun. planning to do it, but if i find out i dont like it, its just to unintall those homebrews and upgrade, right? oh and with 3.0 + you can use the PSP as a controller on playstation 3 (getting it in 6 days! 0mg 0mg!!!1!11) with some extras on the screen. like use the screen as a back mirror while driving with it. sounds cool. should i really downgrade?

just overwrite the backgrond. choose a picture and set it as wallpaper. if you want it removed and you want the good old moving thing in colors, go to settings and theme settings. ;)

Also, I have come under the assumption that any gamer that bashes "2d" games almost certainly is under the age of ten, simply because older gamers will have played good "2d" games in their lifetime.

If you want to act older then at least be more accepting of other peoples' opinions. If somebody prefers the DS, then let them prefer it. I for one think that the DS is the better choice for pure gaming, and the PSP is for media.

I mostly use my PSP as an mp3 player, because I got it from a friend, and I don't want to spend the money for an ipod. I got about 2 gigs worth of music on it, about 340 songs.

My favorite games for it are Fight Night (and I dont even like sports games), Syphon Filter, and, of course, Metal Gear Solid:Portable Ops.

Also how do I play downloaded games on PSP? Before you start flaming I buy Original games and support gaming. I just want to try Crsis Core: Final Fantasy VII, its on torrents, because its not out in EUU yet. I'll be the 1st person to buy it when it comes to EU...Hell I'll camp it like Halo fans
