can someone advise how to get this badge as ive been trying for months !

also although there are a number of threads on it Im finding it impossible to get 5 sniper headshots

Are you good at knifing? If so, how good? Cause I'm pretty OK, and can get 20 or so knife kills in a 200 ticket round on an all knife server. I've seen guys get like 50 though, so I'm not that great.

About the sniper headshots, it's pretty fluky actually. You have to practise with the sniper rifle to be able to hit the head.

Really, 30 kills with any of the kits is pretty easy. Start off whoring the Mec, Tank, APC, whatever. Then attack and/or defend your titan.

Remember - you don't have to get 30 kills with the weapons in your kit - you just have to have that kit deployed.

I'd suggest going on a small infantry map server (about 16-20 players) to get the gold support badge. The smaller servers usually last longer so you can get more kills.

As for getting headshots, just practice ;)

Crowded server manning the Titan guns and defending the corridors. Stay on the guns til your Titan Shield is down then go set your Sentry in a corridor and camp it.

Easiest way by far is join a 64-player Belgrade or Berlin (EU side) map and get in the F2 seat (grenade launcher) and pray you have a half-intelligent driver.

Headshots just takes practice at sniping. Picking good spots and knowing where enemy snipers like to hang out.

Stay away from lame knife and pistol servers visiting there will get your stats reset.

Are you serious??
Just join a 32/48 players server and defend your Titan, using the Sentry/Pulsemeter/Clark combo. I usually get 45+ kills a round if enough attackers keep podding over.

What are you talking about? How does a noramal server that asks you to use pistols and knives get your stats reset? Although I was able to get my gold knife badge and silver assault badge twice because of an error (gave me points for getting them, but didn't record the actual award :)). But that was normal, it's happened with other things on other servers too.

Wholy dependent on your skill leval for both awards. Support and Recon are easiest to get by far remember to deploy your toys at flags and choke points these are bonus kills and most of all use the vehicals to cap jump out leave the toys behind (Sentry gun) in sneaky places usualy behind the flags is best
Sniper head shots are again easy good map is Gibralter as the attack team, stay back and pick of the guys defending there first rooftops and the crane

there is this great weapon in the game called a grenade... learn how to use it.. and i suggest unlocking the new personal UAV.. just grenade all the little red dots you see on your mini map.. 30 kills is easy then.

to you rumple9, find a gibraltar server with 300 tickets, hope for a good round and kill as many as you can with the shuko. or bianchi of course. OR find a big titan server, fly chopper till your shield is down, hope for the other team to attack big time, and just keep on camping!

about the headshots. gibraltar my friend. just find people laying still and flaffafloom!! headshot!! when you get better you will learn to headshot people who run or shoot heavily back at you.

Sniping from inside the reactor core room into the vents can work well sometimes, but you're really limited in time, since the Titan usually blows shortly after. I found the easiest map to get headshots on was Tunis Harbor. You can usually get alot of good views from the catwalks. Expect to die often though. Once you fire, it usually gives away your position to any other enemy snipers around.

As for the support gold, get on a big Titan server that's full, and where the commanders move the Titans to the middle of the map. Use the Titan guns whenever you spawn to get a few kills each time, then cap and defend silos for a bit. Vehicle kills count, too, so stay in tanks and walkers to protect yourself (at least a bit). These badges area always easier to get playing defense, so stick to your own Titan. Once your shields go down, keep podding up to the roof. Deploy sentry guns on the decks to help you, and gun down those attackers as they pod in. Chase them into the vents if you have to, then pod back up. Repeat as needed. You should be able to rack them up fairly easily.

I'm sorry, but if you can't make even 20 kills on average with support, you must first improve your game. It's fine to go for badges and stuff, but that doesn't mean your only aim is to just barely meet the requirements for a badge. Learn to play the game as it is, and the badges will follow automatically (at least, for the "kit" badges).

Learn to use crouch, to deploy good sentries, to basically shoot. I can see how an engineer or a sniper MIGHT have difficulties getting 30 kills, just by nature of their specialties. However, the support and assault are almost devoted to anti-infantry so there is no reason not to be getting lots of kills with them, especially on a conquest map.

Same with Sniper headshots. If you're playing recon and can't even make 5 headshots, you need to improve your aim and learn to play your kit better. If you really don't play sniper often and just want the pin, Berlin is a good map for headshots. There are usually at least 5 support/snipers running around every map though, and many of these like to stay in one place and gun. That's a guaranteed 5 headshots right there.
