i went onto a server yesterday and im in the gun of the buggy defending a silo and all of a sudden at the bottom of the screen it says someone kills me, and another and another. well, im not being shot at and im fine...THERE WASNT ANYONE AROUND ME. so how were these people scoring kills on me without actually killing me or being around me!!!! :mad: :confused:

Were those kills registering on the scoreboard? It sounds like a bug to me.

Once I saw a guy standing near silo 5 in Verdun. I shoot him with my Bauer, repeatedly from 5 ft, nothing happen, he's just standing there. Then I knife him, repeatedly, nothing happen. Then suddenly he runs to the Battlewalker and blast me to pieces. 5 minutes later there's a request from others to ban him, so it happen to them as well. Unfortunately I forgot his name. What hack is that?

i was at work and didnt make it to the end of the match, but i wish i knew. they came up at the bottom like they were legitimate. i have never had that problem before. if you need me to, i can look in my history for the server name?

Yea, that's a known bug - I've seen it a bunch of times. It doesn't record on the scoreboard, though - so it's all good....

a lot of strange stuff happens in this game. A few months ago I remember joining a game where no one could kill anyone - friendly or enemy. People were just running around the titan going crazy.

Well it could be a bug.

There is a hack that tricks the server into thinking you're on both teams. Perhaps on a server with FF off he would appear to the server to be getting shot by a teammate (so you can't kill him) but at the same time he appears as an enemy and can kill you.

It's impossible to say which it is, but that's certainly a possibility.

There is no know "God mode" hack in 2142, yet I have had a few strange occurrances like this. The explanation above of the a combination of the "friendly" hack and ff off is the most logical I have heard to date.

I was in a borked server once where you couldn't kill anyone, or they only died very oddly. You could shoot them up and they would make the "I'm being shot" animation, but you couldn't kill them. I did manage to kill a guy with a grenade tho. I thought about trying RDX, but all kinds of weird things were happening. You couldn't go prone, and if you fell and got damaged, you kept bobbing up and down like you were falling about 3 feet over and over. I left before the server went down. It was unplayable.

Imm. Hack. However, he must really be good at keeping an eye on his attacker. Being immune to more than one weapon damage type means he's quickly switching the weapon being used against him. That's one sharp eye he has.

I don't think the problem that ya_momz was having has to do with a hack. For the past few days, I've been having some odd killing messages come up too. One time it said one of my own teammates teamkilled me, but the other times it just said I killed somebody when I didn't. I don't believe it registered on the score board though, so no biggy.

I guess it's just something that we'll have to wait for EA to address. :(

saying that you have been killed is cool by me, but it makes me mad when it says I killed my team mates..happend to me several times, when I first join a server and suddenly I get punished like 3 to 5 times and then get kicked, and I still didnt even fire one bullit nor droping on transporter...I was on the titan only.
