Has anyone noticed that when you are in a hachimoto that the PK rockets do more damage to you then if you were out of the vehicle? Most of the time its a one hit kill to you (driver) and the gunner, but if it were the same scenario outside the speeder it would take at least 2 hits :confused: Is this to give the hachimoto more balance or am i missing something here? Also, whats up with the advanced medical hub not healing you inside the speeder? Is that a balance thing too?

I haven't really tested that theory. But most of the time I die from the rockets while in it if I die from anything. They are very strong against the speeder. Maybe because your head is somewhat stationary and the blast gets more directed to the head, multiplying the damage done????

The PK rockets are my favourite Hachimoto-gunner-killer, but I don't think I have managed to kill the gunner with one single shot.

How do you know that it was only one shot?
They can come pretty rapidly

Ive been killed by a single rocket, and done it to other people before.... i think, lol.

Personally I've noticed the opposite? Could have just been a fluke but there were a couple of times where I was hammering away at a speeder with the rockets (and there's now four of them per magazine! Thanks Dice!) and killed the gunner with two or three rockets but the driver escaped unharmed for the most part.

Not that I'm disagreeing with you, I just maybe have been unlucky so far and it's a fluke that I didn't kill the driver...

Think about it, the splash damage of the PK rocket is restricted to that small space, so the driver/ gunner will take more damage...

Thats what I think.

maybe the driver/gunner was already damaged. A PK rocket can never kill someone at full health in one hit. It takes atleast 2 hits.

It's easy to get damaged in the speeder, the driver usually takes more damage than the speeder when fired at. When I'm in a speeder while being medic I often have to go somewhere safe, get out and heal myself. So my guess is that they were already at half health or something.

Well about the medic hub, I've noticed even if I have the advanced ammo hub inside the Goliath it doesn't work. I don't think it's a bug.

Maybe cos the goliath itself heals/ gives ammo/ AND repairs others... why add more to that?

Then its god mode for the people outside...

Actually, If you have a coordinated driver (Such as a friend on Ventrillo) you can take down a Goliath, Rocketeer, Anyone..

yeah the last 2-3 speeders i have seen nice and stationary.. take no damage from 4 pk rocket direct hits. Good hit indicator and everything.. just no real damage and no kills.. But then hit detection and hitbox issues abound in this game.

Are you sure you were over 20 meters away? If not the rockets will give a hit indicator but will not detonate. Could be your problem.
