K/D Ratio favorite role

I am just curious, and to prove that is not just to compare e-penis I don´t put my k/d ratio.

What are you favortie roles, vehicles and what is your k/d ratio?

My favorite role is assault/medic
My favorite vehicle is the nekomata (or something like that)
My k/d is above 1 ;).

I used to be a recon kamakazi (only on consoles and cores), so hence the crap KD ratio of 0.98.

But I play Assault Medic (Baur or Krylov) and my score is improving dramatically.

The kit specific ratio is worthless anyway, since it tells how many times you have been killed by the kit, not while using it.

I don't use vehicles much, but my favourite must be the Nekomata. I love the handling on that Tank.

Favourite kit is currently Assault with Baur/Defib/Rockets.

K/D ratio is 0.9, and will probably drop further.

Kill to Death ratios are overrated. Sometimes I just like to screw around. Sometimes I put myself in danger in order to help out the rest of the team. One of my favorite things to do is to spend an entire round going after the enemy's assets. Usually, the opposing commander will start "guarding" the assets from me, thus neglecting his commander duties. Sometimes they'll even call for some help, resulting in a few players spending all of their attention on me which allows for the rest of my team to have an easier time. So I usually get killed a bunch of times. Does that mean I suck? No, it's just that I don't give a damn about ratios.

Plus, just because someone has a very good k/d ratio doesn't mean that they are "uber pros". There are lot of "safe" things to do that will bring a ratio up, like walker whoring and playing assault on Camp Gibraltar all day. Also, a good squad full of medics makes it way easy to bring a ratio up.

I have to play as Engy. Nothing I like more than setting a trap and taking down an armor/jet whore. Every now and then I'll play Recon to take a Titan core or sneak up on a flag or asset. Assault/Medic and Support just bore me.

Effing keeerist! I'd kill for some of these K/D ratios! Because I usually do what is best for the team/squad, my K/D suxx - 0.78 and I just got it up there from 0.77. That's mostly playing Support, I suppose it will get worse now with the schnitty LMGs since 1.25. I don't know how you kill anyone with the Bauer, the recoil is worse than the LMG's. I have actually been playing Engy a LOT since I got my Pilum. Eh, I long for the day I get over 1.0.. but since I'm old and my reflexes are going, not bloody likely! LOL

The Baur in single shot is my most lethal weapon.
2nd is the Clark Shotgun (requires a decent amount of short range marksmanship)
and 3rd the Zeller. I've been working with the zeller more lately. Requires more timing and experience then quick marksmanship

KDR: (note, not real KDR, the kill death ratio of the EA 2142 stats site (kills with the weapon / deaths BY the weapon)
Baur: 9.29
Clark: 10.15
Zeller: 1.73

Use the baur like a semi-auto sniper rifle when its in single shot, very similar to the SVD from bf2. Aim fire, aim fire, Aim for the chest and the recoil will put the cross hair at the neck or head.

My play stile is just like yours, I prefer to live and fight another day than to go down guns blazing, even so your k/d ratio is very good unless you spend a lot of time in the titan guns.

My worst death streak is 6 and I my death count is under 5 per round, I play mostly infantry and with the nekomata (best AA weapon in the game :D) and I am far from your k/d ratio.

K/D ratios are misleading IMO. I've seen people get into the game, get owned, finally figure out how to survive and prosper, and kill their character to start a new one with clean stats. Nothing wrong with that, but I wasn't willing to kill my character.

I didn't kill my poor stats character, and played on some servers with very skilled players. Thus I got Owned alot while learning how to play. Had trouble finding servers that routinely had good squad play, so your stats usually tank. After 1800 rounds, It takes a whopping big positive K/D ratio per round to nudge overall stats any at all. Thus my K/D ratio is still under .70 / Since it slowly rises up, I don't much worry about it, and really just play to have fun. I still can get a 25/3 type stats run on a round, so I don't have to pump up my ego any. Could I get the gold badge? Without a doubt if I just wanted to garner them, which just might now that my internet connection works without freezing up. Take one for the team? You bet I will. Been there and done that. K/D ratios mean very little to me at this time.

Are there some Uber players out there with 4/1 K/D's ? Yep, and they did it legit. Most of them had played BF2 extensively, so moving to BF2142 was just picking up where they left off basically. They didn't HAVE much of a learning curve, and if they got the game when it first came out, they OWNED people for Months. All the power to them. Nothing wrong with beating your chest with a super stat sheet. And it also depends on what server they play on, as some servers tend to get more new players than others. Lots of factors that greatly influence people's K/D ratio.

Totaly agree with this and the rest of your post, I made this thread out of curiosity and not to compare e-penis.
You can easily get your k/d ratio up just by sitting in the titan guns, but this as the rest of the stats can be misleading.

One trend I note is that the Nekomate is almost the overwhelming winner, everybody loves that tank eh eh.

Recon: Lambert/APM/RDX - 95% Titan cause I know the routine. I get totally raped when I try the usual conquest maps, as I don't know where to go and keep on running into crossfire and snipers.

K/D 0.85, but slowly rising after a difficult learning curve, started with 0.36 in the beginning as I had no experience at all like BF2 or CS.

Starting to use Assault/Voss/Rockets/Defib now since last nite, we'll see where it goes from there.

yeah... i was around 1.5-1.10 for a long, long time. i'm now addicted to the tight city maps... so i do mainly camp G. i don't get tired of things easy... so i have no problem playing this map over.... and over.... and over

and thanks, cost a pretty penny. i got it when the quad and 8800gtx just came out.
alas, nvidia comes out with the 8800 ultra on may 15th. i now no longer have to top vid card =(

totally agree, the tiger is better imo, the nekomata can't snipe as well and i have enough trouble hitting already even without the drift on the nekomata :|:

I hate titan with a passion, so no. But Dead_And_Gone hit the nail on the head, i've been playing Battlefield 1942, and every other part of the series and their mods since they came out. I guess that sort of works in my favor.

I don't really know how i manage to get the ratio that i have, i'm not a very good shot or anything, don't whore anything either. I'd have to find a server with a working BR so i can see how i actually play. :p

Accuracy is 10-11% on the LMGs, 42% w/the Moretti, 33% w/the Park. 45% w/Pilum, 60% w/SAAW. I don't play Recon much, but now that I've got zoom unlock and APM (no camo or anything else) I think I'll play it more. I do hate that RDX glitch where you throw the last pack and then they all detonate... speaking of suicide....

heh, I shudder looking at the per-weapon stats.... Baur is my only positive (11.28) 'cause it's pretty much the only thing I use. I guess we can technically count the Accipiter as positive as well, with a whole whopping 2 kills and zero deaths. Everything else weapon-wise is in the red. :laugh:

That´s why I don´t look at that stat, if you are in a server where everyone is using the voss then youre k/d ratio with that weapon would drop significally (if you don´t use it).
I have a k/d ratio of 5:1 with krylov, 10:1 with the Voss and 1:1 with the baur, and the weapons that i feel i´m more deadly are the Krylov or baur.

Individual weapon K/D stats are worthless. Instead of being kills with weapon vs. deaths holding weapon it's kills with weapon vs. killed by weapon. It makes no sense to do things this way and the actual stats themselves are meaningless.

yeah, for bf2 they kept the stats of your kills with a weapon and deaths while holding it..... not by what type of weapon KILLED YOU.

this is why i had tons of deaths by the defibulator (as i died trying to rez)... but only got zapped by an enemy a handful of times.

fav class, assault, krylov if i can land it, voss, is well, second, though im not a fan, and baur is reserved for special occassions, or when im in the mood for something that actually feels like a real gun. imo, im good with voss, better with baur, and best with krylov, and sometimes ill even use the scar for some laughs :) also began using the clark recently, after i saw a brig gen owning with one, very good gun, i use it like rambo :P imo, you have to be one brave sonovuabitch to use that gun :) like reviving, hate incompetent or lazy/selfish medics, happy to join squad, and play to have fun.

as for vehicles? i really like the talon and doragon, the doragon seems to be more nimble, but the Talons way better missles make it a first choice, (though i can hold my own in the doragon) i sorta kinda like the neko, but i prefer to get my kills with infantry and gunships, vehicle use seems....well, awkward and makes me feel guilty >_> plus the gunships are just cool, and kills with em are just sooooo satisfying, in fact, got my aerial service ribbon not too long ago :)

i can say that after my 220th hour, im pretty decent at this game, in fact this was the first BF game ive EVER played, learned all from scratch.
