Go vertical.

You are limited to 400 units of height in a transport but in a gunship can get about 5 times that height going straight up. After you come over the top and point straight down at a enemy base, you have lots of time to pick your potshots.

Strafe a tank and go straight up over the thing instead of trying to fly straight and attempting to hide behind a hill.

You can be very high over the enemy titan and drift down onto the transport launching from it's bay from directly over head using the engineer PDA to provide your own radar coverage.

To dive down against a target and to escape going straight up is a hell of alot faster and safer than trying to turn around in a horizonal flight path.

Limited to 400 units? uhhh, actually there is no limit... it only starts flying wierd when you pass that point.... but you can still keep it under control if you know how.... the only problem is, the higher you go, the faster the ship flys.. and the harder it is to keep it in bounds.... trust me I've flown all the way up to 50,000 units before... and man that's NUTS.... of course there is no point going that high, it just responds all wierd and you have to fight it from flying off into limbo.... unless of course you want to skydive for miles! :D
