I went for a promotion this time around, thinking it was most points scored in the week that gave you the top ranks... It's not, I scored close to 10000 points (maintaining 2 K\D) and still nothing..

And to see the players that did get a promotion have not only scored less, but also have stats inferior to mine, and play on knife servers, I get slightly annoyed.

How is this system working? I post here in the (slim) hope that a dice member will reply, because this system has caused more annoyence then fun for most legit players.... (most probably don't give a flying fudgecake, and shouldn't either). Maybe it's ment to be unfair?

The top ranks are NOT selected on a weekly global score basis....
If it was, we would get promoted, since the new SC "only" had app. 7000 since last HOF update. That's a good 2000 less than me half of my friends score. It's something else, hmmmm, i wonder.

Well its good to know a reliable source can confirm this sort of stuff. Only problem is, I think Lt.Shuki is an alias for yourself. You probably created the account today so it would look like you have some sort of credible discussion :rolleyes: if you want me to believe you, show me some PROOF

i only got like 4k gp a week n i got mg. pity i didnt get to keep it. only the ss though. its pretty fun actually, since u almost certainly get commander all the time even if that bg has a higher global score than u. i got alot of commander during that period

Since the stats stuck on 11 on May, I have 1 week before, and half of week. First week I wanted to make as many points as possible, second week I was taking 1100 global peer day & 2500 +- career.

Ah, yes, if you think that all 2-3-supreme got points on titan, you are wrong. You cant take so many points on normal play. Yeah, even with such statpadd you get nothing. I guess i`ll go back to bf2.

And yeah, maybe I know why I didnt got any awards. The whole system based on some random criterias. Lets watch little dipper in this.

The "promo" period from update-to-update on HallOfFame, thats the time when you have to give your best for promotion.

things that i know :

- awarded by a bot.
- every monday, 12:10 AM PST
- it has nothing with avards\pins\medals

I think the reqs. are :

- K\D ratio.
- SPM
- GlobalPoints

If we look more deep in to this, and we remember all people I asked, they told me that before the promotion they got the "private rank bug" and next day they were promoted.

I`m just started new soldier and I`m gonna keep knifin` till I get stars. Not for fun, only to understand that swedish system.

Brad1992 who was wiped, got his stuff for 3 days, on knife server, now he 3 star general. Its cant be that random. He has terrific KD \ SPM \ WL ratio, so I guess thats the key. You need to be rising star & when the time come and you be BG, you get promoted. Thats what I`m going to do. This games getting bored for me every day, its to easy. SInce I pay my 40$ I`m going to run some test`s, and if I`ll get somtn, I`ll tell you.

It's not points per week, that's for sure, take DiVn for example, 16000 last two weeks, and he's still a brig. general....
They might change on this system now and then maybe, since the weekly points threshold might be unhealthy for the players:rolleyes: . My eyes are square after these two weeks. But I think my curiousity will last a while on this one. (I'm doomed)

Yeah, I do think that K\D, W\L, and SPM would have a say. But I'm leaning towards the "under construction" theory...

I'm 100% sure that these ranks are not based on K/D Ratio.. Look at taatoon's stats for example, hes a Lt General and he has a K/D Ratio of 1.36 he's been a Lt General for as long as i can remember, so surely that is proof that your K/D ratio has nothing to do with these ranks. I also think that the Supreme Commander rank has nothing to do with K/D ratio.. look at GOUF's stats he's been Supreme commander twice and his K/D Ratio is 1.76.. also GOUF's SPM is only 1.43, so with that obviously GOUF couldn't have been a Supreme commander without going through the MG and LG rank.. so that is proof that both your K/D ratio and SPM is nothing to do with these ranks.

I have scored enough points, had the right ratio, kill streak, you name it, but it hasn't happened, so I have stopped worrying about it. Besides, it's temporary...

Yes, if K\D and such where a requirement, it would be based on the actual week. And it has to be based on stats, or a bot wouldn't be able to pick one altogether.

Since it's not GS during the week, then what's left? Let's put our heads together...:p

Trivit DID score over the alledged threshold (5000) if you count the week before, so what's different with him\her?

EDIT: Sure the top ranks would induce interest, that makes sense, now I've joined the speculation.
BTW: If you get in the HOF it's not temporary :P

Hello,

The Decay ranks are awarded to the 76 players (tweakable) in the world with the highest score (experience points) and reached the 40th rank. The rank is based on the previous week total amount of experience points and divided as follow:

Major General 50 players
Lieutenant General 25 players
Supreme Commander 1 player

The Decay Ranks will not generate any unlocks.

Highest score is the aggregated score (total summary of Career points) at the specific time of calculation, which should be at a time where the player count is as low as possible for instance every Monday at 2 am PST.

The Overall score Leaderboard is checked, calculated and updated on a weekly basis (tweakable).

Every week the Supreme Commander of the week will be added to the Hall of Fame Leaderboard.

Decay Conditions:

To have the weekly amount of earned Career Points added to your total Career progress the player needs to fulfill these three criteria’ s.

Reached the 40th rank Brigadier General
2000-5000 In A Round Score during the week (tweakable)
K/D Ratio of 1 - 2 (average during the previous week) (tweakable)

If the player doesn’t fulfill these criteria’s his Career points stays unchanged. (the weekly earned experience points plus In A Round Score are not added to his total Career progress)

Criteria: Score/week K/D Ratio
Major General 50 players 2000 1
Lieutenant General 25 players 3000 1.5
Supreme Commander 1 player 5000 2

I've always thought that was how it worked and I have never tested it. I would imagine while the stats servers are down you should not expect to be promoted.

I was worried because they where down, hehe, and I've seen that "leak" before, and I suspect the system has been changed since then, I had the requirements stated there and them some, but was passed over by some that didn't. But It might be because of the stats server being down, yeah.
Or maybe who's got the best K\D and such in addition to the score.

Thanks for the real insight as to the the rank system.........But how many BG's are there right now? I'm a BG and listed at 5295 overall, seems to me that there are to damn many of us when you compare BF2142 to BF2.

I think once you double the Career socre required for BG you should get your second star. They base this game on ranks and unlocks, yet they allow you to get more than 50k in points without a single rank up? Seems kinda skewed to me.

Unless I have missed something, not one person has ever said what the req's are for anything higher than a BG. I wonder if anyone even knows.

Getting 2000-5000 points in a round is impossible, unless you do some sort of insain statpad glitch, lol.

Lol i didnt notice that. Probably meant throught the week. Anyway i belive in a modified version of the DartBoard theory. I think that they pick 76 people based on stats (not sure which ones) then throw the darts and see who gets what. That explains how statpadders get reapeated(kept stats good enough to make the 76) and how there is no real pattern.

It's just funny because it seems they base the best ranks on how many knife kills you have over a given period of time. Whatever formula they use now, it by no means reflects the quality of player they promote, which explains why most of them get reset after they make the top rank. It simply shows that EA is paying no attention to what they are diong. It highlights deficiencies in the system by flagging players who have obviously abused the system in some way.

getting 20,000 in a week is not impossible... we had a 3 star gen. in our server some weeks back and he told us how he got it... he had only been a brig. Gen. for a week or so.. he did all his criteria for his gold medals but didnt get them, then in one week went for as many gold medals as poss.. got over 20,000 points in that week and got his promotion...
