I just got one of my two characters to Brigadier. The other is about 2000 pts away from Brigadier. (one started as an engy. the other as an assault/recon).

I'm wondering how many characters you guys play and how many of them are Brigadiers?

i have 4 soldiers only 1 of which is BG, when you have done it once, its not the same tbh IMO.

The other alts just screw people over in K&P servers :D

No Brigadiers for me yet. =( I don't get to play as much as I'd like, and when I DO play, I'm surely not making as many points as I'd like.

Lesse, I have... none. :D

I do have quite a few tags of brigadier generals though and one Lieutenant General. ;)

Yeah, I've got only one Brigadier. I'm working on a second soldier now (an Lt.) and it's been a real blast earning the unlocks and badges again. The second time around is a lot easier than the first, but still very entertaining. The fun is in choosing what new unlocks you should select in order to make earning other unlocks easier.

I have two, plus a Field Marshal and a Gold Field Commissar. It's fun starting over; getting bored with my latest one but an trying for the War College Ribbon. Will probably delete my third character and start again after that.

I have only one BG. I have enough career points in that one character to have at least 2 though.

what does starting a new solider get you other than having to unlock it all again? i cry when my unlocks don't appear... what can you do as a sniper with nothing to defend or attack with, or a medic who can't revive or heal properly, or as someone who can't run more than 10m without having a coronary?

I have 4 account's but only use 1 to play the other 3 are for wither messing around or so no one can have that name lol

But my main character has enough score to make 3 Brig General stats lol

Presumably, being wiser and smarter after your first guy, you'd start another one with a better unlock scheme, and tighter stats (if you're into the stats aspect of the game).

Outside of that, I dunno. I have a couple of lame-nut alt soldiers for whenever i feel like playing and trying new things out that I suspect may not work well and end up giving me a lot of deaths, which I'd rather avoid on my main guy as I am into the stats. My 1.61 KDR isn't uber-impressive or anything, but I've worked really hard to get it there so I don't want to trash it screwing around. :p

i've heard the more-experienced-so-better-stats theory. my personal take is that a new soldier will give you better stats, but you won't start off with fantastic k/d ratios. in fact, i'd estimate that maintaining a k/d ratio of 1.0 and above (yet have a decent SPM) for soemone under sergeant is really really hard. reason being that you start off with zilch unlocks, and unlocks are the bread-and-butter of good gameplay.

i personally find that my style of gameplay revolves around medium-range standoffs with the Baur or close-range rambo-running-around situations with the Clark, both of which are unavailable until a certain level of veterancy. and when i was using my 2nd soldier, i found myself tapping the shift key impatiently waiting for my flabby noob character to regain his breath. so i guess it takes some degree of dedication.

i wanted to create a 2nd soldier with better stats since my stats are screwed up (my lowest k/d ratio on record was 0.09), i played all the way up to Sergeant Major Gold in China on a com with 128mb RAM and it sucked. however i gave up after a few rounds as it was sooo hard running around without unlocks, so now it's solely dedicated to messing up games in screwed-up servers. like when half the team is pointwhoring and reviving only for the apc to pwn them again and again, or the commander who does nothing. i'll log in using the alt and create havoc with the emp grenade, stand in front of a friendly apm/rdx and zellar it so i get TKed and i can punish, or just do the usual FAV-ramming-friendly-walker thing.
i've only done this twice in my entire BF life, tho ^^

... it was sooo hard running around without unlocks...

Last time I restarted I had 6 unlocks within an hour; 1 from BF2 veteran status, 2 from the NS badges and 3 from points. That gave me one good base kit and a couple of player abilities that were easy to grow on.

It's not even possible to play with 128mb ram is it!

I enjoy sticking with one soldier so my stats reflect any improvements I've made.

I've currently got 3 soldiers going on. My KeyMan. account if Brig Gen but it holds all the stats of when I very first started so the stats aren't that impressing. KeyDude I've just recently started, his stats are much better and I'm aiming to bring him up to BG. My last account is iseeyouthere which is an experimental soldier which I use to stuff around on the battlefield so I don't have to worry about "Crapping" up my stats on my other 2 accounts ;)

ob yes it is. if you're willing to teleport around a little and suffer a rock-bottom low kdr that is =D
