Using WinAmp- I found a voice-over of the grunt saying ENEMY MINES!

This would great to spot mines and warn teammates of traps, don't you think so?

You could put it ingame but PB will likely kick you for modified content. I don't get why they recorded some decent messages but not put them in game, same goes for BF2.

Can anyone confirm this? I run maximum settings with an X-Fi and I've never heard it.

There's a number of these which weren't implemented. The Commander was going to be able to order the placement of mines and the destruction of enemy assets... etc.

I can confirm sound settings have nothing to do with it. I have everything maxed as well on an X-Fi Platinum. Never heard it, cannot say it in game.

Care to enlighten us as to what magical sound card you need for this to be enabled? I notice you appear to be a modder of sorts, is it possible you have changed something in the game on your own to allow for this hidden treasure to be heard. I have played on servers all over the world for almost 400 hours and never heard it. Apparently I am not the only one who hasn't. I am sorry, but I find it hard to believe that since you can hear soldiers saying things no matter what settings you have your sound on, that some setting would enable more sayings.

The commander CAN order the destruction of enemy assets...... try clicking on the enemy assets and telling them to attack them.... it gives an "attack" order to attack them (rather then just a move order). You can also ask people to repair your OWN assets by clicking on them and putting an order marker on them as well.....

There is just no command for spotting enemy mines... either that sound file was there because they just never used it, or they put it there in advance because they are planning (or at least where going to plan) to put in the spotting of enemy mines... personally, I think it should be in the game.... because there are alot of people too stupid to notice them even when they are out in the open and your spamming like a tard to try to get them to notice them... they shurg and run around the corner and die.... LOL.

I remember the modding community discussing these things a number of months ago but I can't recall all the things they found. My age is showing.

As far as I know there are many bits of speech that are recorded but not used. It should be a fairly simple procedure to add this to the game. All you would need to do is look at the mine and click spotted. I do that anyway and it adds a red question mark to the hud and my troop says 'Threat Spotted'

Enemy mine would be better.

Where are these sound files? I would like to check them out.

Its kinda like the NS speech sounds someone posted about a long time ago. It was all crackly but when the pack came out, the speech was clear.
