BF2 signup

Ok, I've searched the forums, and I know there is a link somewhere but I can't find it. Can someone post the link to the BF2 vets signup, so I can get the #2 over my head in game? Sorry for another post about this, but I wasn't able to find it myself.

I've tried it but it won't let me sign up for the Vets group for some reason? Is this because I've already signed up for BF2142 and been playing?

The BF2 Veteran promotion is long over. You will not be able to sign up any longer.

You could only sign up in the pre-release pre-order period, if memory serves.... I signed up but have no idea if anyone sees a "2" over my head, LOL.

i just signed up for it last week, here is a link (http://www.ea.com/official/battlefield/battlefield2/us/editorial.jsp?src=veterans).

You will have to make sure you only have three or less soldiers on your account. enter all the info and use any name that is available for the soldier you want to create during this process. then once this is complete login to bf2142 and you will get a message that you signed up for the vet program successfully.

now note that you will not get the free unlock on soldiers that have already been ranking up but you will get the pretty little 2 on every soldier under that account.

if it was successful you should see it next to your name while logged into bf2142 in the upper left where it displays your logged in soldiers name, also in the leaderboard under BFHQ.

I followed the link but it appears to only be an old news story... I don't see a place to sign-up...
