Weapon Sway

The weapon sway on all my weapoms has completely disappeared I've not altered anything to do with Battlefield so why has this happened?

The only thing i can think of is camera shake in game options menu.

Even if you restart the game? You were asking about this on IPD but i thought you meant only for one round.

Yes but isnt that classed as exploiting to some degree?

Isn't removing sway yourself considered an exploit since "normal" people have to use the Gruber to stop sway?

btw, what OS do you have, I think in Vista there's a bug that stops sway.

It may have something to do with Vista. After I installed Vista I would say that maybe 1 out of 12-15 rounds I don't have sway. It is very random and usually is gone after the round without restarting the game or anything.
(Not that I'm complaining)

I have sort of the same based problem. For ages now i will go for rounds upon rounds, even if i restart the game being unable to have my sprint bar refill, or any bar to refill, e.g. sprint bar, camo bar etc.

I cant even reload either, i have to pick up other kits.

This is getting frustrating and i want to know whats going on.

If you change some settings sway goes away and sometimes even the reload, I found one day that I had to reinstall I changed the settings and I didn't had sway and I could keep shooting non stop all gun's until I ran out of clips.

Yes buit i have reinstalled and its still happening, no refill bar and no reload on any weapon OTHER than pistols?

Lmg wired sway has also gone btw. Erm if If reinstall what will happen to my northen strike will I have to repurchase and will my acount details be saved.

i saw something like this on my housemates game last night. there was no sway for his weapons, he could not bring up the scores/map/kit and the minimap itself was spinning round like a cyclone. the map thing fixed itself after a few deaths but it was still a bit odd.

It happened to me too, listen to my story:

I just bought Northern Strike a month ago.
After downoading NS and installing it I played for some hours and got NS badges providing unlocks. At some point I had everything unlocked BUT radar smoke grenade and the NS boots.

I chose the NS boots without knowing what it does and started playing after unlocking the boots. I was like OMG WTF No more sway on my sniper rifle !!! WTF it works with the Baur too O_O !!!those boots are godly overpowered!!!

After 5 mins non stop laughing i told myself ... obvious glitch.

I quit and launched the game again... oh sway is back... umm so what does my new boots do?? *reads description in bhfq again* mmmm sounds cool!

*jumps from "reasonable" height* ....... *DIES*

Call ea and get them to take care of it. I just spent 2 months offline because of some silly install disc error. They sent me a downloadable version of the game and now i am back. I took way too long for them to get me back up and running, but at least i am able to play again.

Ea had me do a manual un install of BF2142 a couple of time and that gets rid of some glitches when you re install. The have instructions on their support site somewhere.

I dont mind it that much to call them up and actually have to speak with someone at EA, i mean there email response is bad enough, you dont even get the automated message back until after 4 days.

Anyway, sometimes its not that bad getting the gold star and knowing i was at a disadvantage most of the round. :)
