i received this message when i just left suxsquad.com server. wtf is this?? a sane joke? after i got this message i was lagging terribly!! teleporting everywhere while maintaining pings of below 20 in a local server

I can only assume that is a joke, a virus or something. Although i wouldn't of thought it is particularly dangerous. Are you still lagging now when you play?

i have gotten that error before. something with the memory got messed up and you get that error. I have received it while a map was loading. Restarting my Pc fixed it.

Did you got an OC'ed RAM?

That happened to my once when I overclocked the RAM with too tight in timings even after it passed 18 hrs without error in memtest.

I've had that error in BF2 before. I haven't overclocked my ram either. I think its just a wierd error message and nothing to worry about. At least I hope so :)

It's just a wierd bug. I get it every now and then when Cerbere Landing is loading up. I restart the game and everything is fine.

I've gotten this when attempting to run the game with graphic settings which were too aggressive or not supported. It is a valid error which is stating the software is checking itself and believes that there is an error.

There is a memory problem which has been plaguing people lately with crashes at the end of rounds--especially Titan rounds. Perhaps it is related. Post in the "Support" section to get a qualified answer from an expert in the Total community.

I've seen it on one of my computers as well, just like with Skates, when Cerbere was loading. Maybe there's something about Cerbere, because on that same machine, if Cerbere is the first map to be loaded after starting the game, all kinds of weird **** happens. Load any other map up first, and then go to Cerbere, and it's okay, though.

However, I don't see the same thing happen on my other PCs with 2142 loaded, so I'm sure it's a combination of circumstances.

Sanity check is an actual term. I believe it just means that the data seems to be getting messed up somewhere (checks to see if the memory is going insane). This most likely happens if your RAM is failing or you've overclocked.

Yeah, I used to get it all the time about halfway thru loading Carebear, iff it was my first map of the night. If I had loaded something else first, I didn't have the problem.

Haven't gotten it as much lately, for whatever reason.

someone reported recently it could be a memory leak in the game. anyway, the fix is simple, restart your game, or pc, it refreshes the stuff in your ram.

yea only time i get that is a fresh map load of cerebere. that's the only time i get it, but it's guaranteed.

Again, it's not a sense of humor... Sanity checks are a technical term of checking memory corruption... Perhaps the original programmers and engineers had a sense of humor...

It's a programming term (an memory stack error), not actually a joke -- though it is one when it occurs, as the return occurs when there's a memory issue (and in this case, more than likely how textures are loaded and unloaded).

Memory management in C++ is a bear.
