View Full Version : What Frustrates me....

What makes me so angry sometimes is that people in the community will destroy somebody's guide just because it's different from what they use.

On my Medic guide, I know it's not's the best guide ever but I have actually tried these tips and people trash it like it's horrible.

I am not your typical assault soldier who has defib and voss all the time. I actually think about what I am going to do, not some retard who treats the game like crap.

I wish people were more open to different things that didn't work out right for them the first time.

I have no clue what you are talking about. I assume you posted a medic guide and it sucked. Did you ever stop to think that perhaps whatever you posted wasn't actually good and that's why no one liked it? Just because you had an idea or posted a strategy doesn't make it good. The community will pick apart anything that doesn't work out well. Were you expecting applause for whatever you posted? That's not very realistic.

Can you repost your guide so I can see what you are talking about? I see no reason to not equip the defib. All I can figure out from this post is that you don't think people should equip the defib and you don't like the Voss.

hey, not everybody ripped it apart. myself and someone else said "good post". you're free to share your playing style and tips... but always be prepared for people to agree and disagree. we're all not the same. earlier i posted what i think is an awesome SL guide (http://www.totalbf2142.com/forums/showthread.php?t=22808) ...most seemed to enjoy it but i fully expect people to call me a freaking idiot on some points because inevitably they will disagree.... and some did disagree and that's ok.

Oh, I found your thread. You reacted WAY too soon! There were only like 6 replies and not all of them were negative. If you had 15 negative replies maybe, but not just a few.

You probably would have gotten some good comments if you waited longer.

Sometimes you're going to deal with criticism. Sorry, it happens. :/

I haven't read your post, yet. However, I say for those who takes the time to give their knowledge, and experience on things then I respect those people alot, and if there is something I don't agree with, and I have something I know works for me, then I'd offer my two cents, but I will never trash what the other person posted. It is called, respect, and like I said. I have respect for those who takes the time to give their knowledge, and experience to others.

Yea i cant really be bothered reading you guide now, but i will say, always take the defibs if you are assault, nothing more annoying than an assault guy who doesn't have defibs

Yeah, I hate screaming "MAN DOWN, MAN DOWN! MEDIIIIIIIIIIIIIIC! MEDIIIIIIIIICC!' and seeing 200 medics running around ignoring me.

Learn to not take disagreements personally, Firestorm. People will just plain disagree, sometimes get into a verbal sparring match, but that's how people with passion communicate.

What's important is that your theory/method was challenged and you got an opportunity to see another side (more heads are better than one!). This will help you see what other players prefer, but remember preference isn't a requirement.

Just take criticism in stride. Everyone gets it, and eveyone has to deal with it (some more than others....hehehe....I'm a b-a-d woman ;)).

UNATCOII is right. She fell into a verbal sparring match few days ago for similar reasons: disagreement ;)

Just make a guide and try to update it once in a while if you learn something new or if someone gives a tip.

Guides can turn from poor to good with regular updates.
