i been in the field all week gonna play 2142 all weekend whats the best engineer route to take the pilum or the 4 rockets?

I'd pretty much say Pilum man. What's great about it is that it doesn't "lock on" to somebody, so their vehicle doesn't start going off and give it away that you're about to fire. The only hitch is that you have to aim a little better and judge it's movement rate if the vehicle's moving. Also, a Pilum shot in the back of a tank is pretty killer almost every time.

The motion mines are a great one to have. It's always nice when you're a mile away from where you laid some and see a "You killed ____" on your screen. :D Also, I like the defuser too. I don't find myself using it too much, but it's great to have when you find yourself in a situation where you really need it.

Pilum is the best unlock. Lead your target is the advice I give. No lock on with it though so no pesky shields being popped at the last second!

The stock weapon is not bad when you learn to use it, but the Pilum is just that much more useable. Not because it is more versatile (the stock weapon is in fact more versatile), but because you find yourself in situations more often where the Pilum is better.

Nothing beats a nice armour ambush with the Pilum...

Pilum, motion mines, and diffuser for the win.

On an unrelated note, I'll be doing a happy dance the day they start giving us points for diffusing mines. :)

Edit: I should note that the SAAW is actually a lot of fun to play with as well. You can be a game changer on Titan maps with a SAAW and a bit of imagination. However, there are a lot of maps where you may as well have equipped a waffle iron.

Earn half a point defusing mines within the squad order radius...

Play some Northern Strike and get the Motion Mine grenade killer ( or whatever it is really called )...Just remember that ALL the motion mines, including your teams, will go up in the little whirlwind and disappear ! ....It seems hardly anyone else is using it on the maps I play. If you play armor a lot, it is a life saver. I agree with the Pilum and MM.
