Zeller or Pilum?

Well, I've completed both the Support and Assault trees, plus I have Lambert. I need some opinions about whether to pursue the second half of recon, or work on the engineering route, in which I have zero unlocks towards. I'm not really sure which I'd like to play more, so I'm just looking to see what yall think.

Pilum, no doubt what so ever.

I'd go for engineer, You can rack up so many points taking out titan guns as an an engineer. If you hit 8 Titan guns your looking at around 60 points easy.

If you get below the center of titan, it can't hit you with guns, so, easy points in that way I believe...also from far...

Hahaha, I thought at first this was a thread for comparing both weapons.

And I reccomend going for the Pilum if you're gonna take on Vehicles often, or the Zeller if you intend to snipe more often.

The Zeller is not too much of an advantage over stock sniper rifles. The Pilum kicks *** against vehicles so I'd go Pillum.

only if you are sadistic and like getting people teamkills would you opt for the zeller, hilarious though it can be. I once got someone to -16 by shooting each one of his dangerous spread of motion mines. good times... i say zeller

Pilum, Pilum, Pilum.

The Titan maps have the most points, and they are vehicle heavy (snipers can exist on those maps, but won't get the stats like a tank killing Pilum killer).

Plus, you have 20 point pins for shooting out the Titan guns, too (much better than 5 point headshot pins).

But if points don't matter, there's a different joy killing a 200m infantry with a Pilum than a Zeller --extreme skill and a dash of luck (nevermind blowing up an APC with 6 soldiers inside!).

Eh, infiltrator pins give 10 points, not 5 points. Anyways, yeah, get pilum, the zeller isn't much of an upgrade over the stock rifles. Pilum, on the other hand, is a pretty damn big upgrade if you use it well.

I've used the Zeller through field upgrades and found it to be hard to see at distance in sandy maps like Tunis, but the Pilum is sa-weet. As someone mentioned above loads of kills if you catch a loaded APC, plus the Engi SMG is murder in CQC.
Add to this the fact that there is no lock-on tone so they never see (hear) it coming, they're just "la-la-la".....BOOM! Drop a couple of EMP mines down and ambush them from the rear.

pilum. big difference between the pilum and the stock engi rockets....

not much difference between the zeller and the stock sniper rifle.

HAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHA been there done that^^
i got sooo annoyed by a statpadder that i zellar'ed his APMs and RDXs straight in my face so i could punish him, rather than wait for people to pass by... 5 deaths later and he was booted ^^
i wouldn't recommend doing this much, though. it hurts your team unless the guy is being a prick.

QFT. I was really stoked to unlock the Zeller and then I used it religiously for about a week... and then I went back to the stock rifle. The zeller looks cool and all but it's really not an upgrade worth having IMHO.
